We had a Biggest Loser contest with the staff members of my school. I started reading a lot of magazines and really began setting personal goals.
Why I Love It:
It's the one part of my life that I feel I have complete control over. I make the choices about what fuel to use and which weights to lift. I'm a control-freak and it suits me to a T!
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm not gonna lie... my guys keep me motivated. They question me when I'm missing from the weight room and have honest discussions with me about every aspect of training. They've made me a member of their "club"... and it's nice to be the only girl invited!
BB Accomplishments:
Losing 7" on my waist in 5 months

Learning to count is good. Learning what counts in life is greater.
Since it's been nearly a year since I've started this transformation, I've learned what feels good and what doesn't. My goal now is to listen to my body and even if my brain had something else in mind, obey the signals my body is sending. I've found that when my body begins to fail (at the gym), my whole life begins to fail soon after!

Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
Because I compartmentalize my life. I can't workout at home, that's the place where I relax. I can't relax at the gym, that's the place where I workout. The two aren't interchangeable. Just like I can't eat soup in the summer and I can't eat salad in the winter! LOLBecause I compartmentalize my life. I can't workout at home, that's the place where I relax. What should look for in a gym? What should you avoid?
Don't really know. I belong to my gym because I get a 20% discount for working for the school district. :-) As a single mom paying for the whole family, that means a lot to me. However, I do like that they have EVERY different piece of equipment that you'd need. And you are free to move it around to suit your tastes and needs. Don't really know. I can breathe! In more ways than one! Literally, I can breathe now. I still get hitched up when I get to breathing deeply, but I'm not coughing just at any time anymore. Yay!
I can breathe at work. Knowing that this child is no longer going to be a member of our class is incredibly...
Nice to hear....wish I hsd a week off to relax.....lol. But im glad you got to relax its got to be rought being a teacher.....nerves can only take so much some times. You better get your ass in gear though.....im still going since my two week sickness.....i was even out in the rain today. But im keeping it changed up added 10 pushups and dips to every 1/4 of a mile.....alternating them.
You ain't kiddin' about gettin' back into a groove! If it weren't for cruise control, I'd be headed right back to my life of gluttony towards diabetes...
Well happy birthday! What do you have planned?
Ive been good. Im working some long hours right now which sucks, but the checks will certainly help over the holidays!
Well got to keep on my Local friends. Especially since you said you need a lil yelling too. Im suprised you feel sluggish when your cutting. I would think you would feel better. But then again im not really that versed in it. I am doing ok, I did a mile and a half last night but my morning was cut short my foot was sore. But I did my morning mile today and hope to get my 2 miles in tonight. Its been cold the last two days which makes it rough...but I will overcome it! :)
I've never tried them. It's hard for me to run like hell since my back surgery. Nerve damage in my ankle and foot. Once I really thought about it, I figured it out. I've been eating like a fat pig lately and only geting to the gym 2 to 3 days a week. Driving all over doing track inspections is killing me..
