i work like a 5 day split usually, sometimes ill throw in a 6th day if i feel like doing legs twice.
in terms of diet i use weightgainer and then just as much carbs and protein as i can possibly eat...lots of yogurt, hardboiled eggs, chicken, peanut butter...no fast food or anything though, i keep it pretty clean

Its all about eating right. You're probably just eating to much. Cut out the carbs and get 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight.

No cardio. Just eat Clean and work out right. Do every compound movement every week. Clean and Press, Bench Press, Squat, and Deadlift.
