"Preping for my Pro Debut this August, and following that up with another WNBF Pro show a month later in September. I want to be a real contender for a top 5 placing at both shows."
I started working out about 6 years ago because I moved to a new area where I didnt know anyone and needed something to occupy myself...and I fell in love with it. About 2 years later a friend suggested that I compete in an upcoming show...I was hesitant, but eventually agreed. I took 1st place in my class, and fell in love with the sport of natural body building!
Why I Love It:
I love building on something...making advances, starting from not very much working and working at it until I can finally look back and see all of the ground that I covered and say to myself...look at that!! look at what you have accomplished and built. That is and amazing feeling.
The actually sport of bodybuilding is like no other...I love the fact that you stand alone...there is nobody else there to take credit for what you have done, nobody else there to take the blame for what you haven't its just you, what you have achieved, you achieved on your own...it is yours!
How I Stay Motivated:
By setting small goals and achieving them...then setting new ones...baby steps as they say.
Sometimes I need to look at pictures of myself from the competition season when I am trying to bulk up...putting on weight is hard...not just physically, but mentally as well...its about working for the future sometimes. But at the same time, you have to keep your mind in the present while you look to the future.

Preping for my Pro Debut this August, and following that up with another WNBF Pro show a month later in September. I want to be a real contender for a top 5 placing at both shows.
Goal (Long):
Because I finally made it to the WNBF Pro circuit, I am required to compete in a pro show within 1 years time from winning my ProCard. The last show I can do that fits within that time constraint is the 2008 WNBF Pro Natural International Championships in September. That gives me just under 1 year, to add as much size as possible in hopes that I can hang with the pros and come in within the top 5. There will be some amazing competition there, straight up freaky physiques, so I have my work cut out for me. Let the training begin...now!
WOW Jordan, what a phenomenal and inspiring physique! Nice work man! I see you know my good friend Pat Lee! You are lucky to have him photograph you. By far some of the best photos I've seen are his! I've only worked with him once, but it was sheer pleasure! ~Ray
I did earn my Pro card with the WNBF in 2006 but when I read the contract and realized that I pretty much had no freedom to compete and promote myself as I please, well, I decided that the WNBF was not for me. I am also not crazy about the locations of their competitions (many midwest and NY). That is just my choice but it all depends on what you want and what is important to you. Good luck on your Pro show and Happy Holidays!
Oh yeah, and if you have interest in the show, let me know some more about where you've been and where you;re going and what you do beyond competing -- or with your competing -- that might make for cool interest!
Well, much of the strategy to that "hardcore" room was by yours truly. I have been working with those guys for over 8 years, and so had helped a bit with the gym;s layout, and really stressed how important such a room is. Most gyms keep the women separate -- why not the reverse and keep the intense boys separate? Seems to work. Who did you train with (you mentioned a "bunch' of you? Murph?)
