How I Started:
I had turned 39 years old and started freaking out about it. I wasn't happy with myself, my life, my body i.e. So i decided that the only person that could do anything about it was me. I didn't want to be over weight and 40. So my husband and I got on this contest at work called S.T.R.I.P. Something about losing weight as a team. So I started cycling, and doing walk aerobics, and power walking.
Why I Love It:
I like the way I feel now compared to the way I felt before I started. I have a lot more energy, and it makes me feel good about me that I am doing something good for my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
I get bored easy with excerise. So I try to change it up. If I don't cycle then I will do my 4 mile walk aerobic dvd. I try to weight train on the off days. The fact that my husband is my partner makes it easy for me to stay with it because I have his total support.
BB Accomplishments:
wow...... Since i haven't been weight training long..... I think the fact that I have already had to add more weight to some of my routine because it has become to easy for me.

Look how round my face is! Wow!
Thought it was time to take one and compare the others i have taken.
All of my life I have been over weight. Not happy about who I really am. I have finally taken my life into my own hands. I know that I am the only one who can do anything about it. I know I need to take if off slowly to actually keep it off. To have a flat stomach and thin thighs. To walk into any store and purchase thin peoples clothes.
Do you sometimes use energy enhancing supplements?
Yes
Which supplements do you take? When do you take them?
I only take them when I feel sluggish. I have been taking Burn 60. It is a supplement from GNC. I have also used FRS. I general take them 30 minutes before I do my work out.

Yes, i have a weight lifting partner. It is my husband. The benefits of having a partner is you have someone to chat with. I just realized that i should be doing 60 minutes of excersise to burn fat!!!! Why had I not understood this before this? But... i must be doing something right! So.... been cycling more on my new road bike. Been working on my bad shoulder to get it back in shape. Still have some pain...

Kettlebell training done properly is highly specialized. You need to find a certified RKC trainer before attempting any KB swings, get ups, or excersizes...Check out www.dragondoor.com to find out more about KB's. Please don't let my size fool you into thinking KB's are easy. Very INTENSE!!! Good luck.

I just wanted to say that you are doing great and if you really want to achieve your fitness goals maybe even sooner than you thought possible I suggest you look into the 12 week Body for Life program. My wife (bodyspace: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 and I lost over 50 lbs going from 36 to 10% bodyfat in just 12 weeks with the BFL program. It is not easy but I believe the results will be well worth the effort. Let us know if you would like more info.
hey M! the weekend has been good so far.. and yours? to be honest, i dont know much about using kettleballs but i have heard wonderful things about them and have been thinking of adding them as well =) what's your new routine looking like?
my week is great! son is at day camp all week.. husband is at soccer camp.. and i'm off work in 30 minutes and don't come back till next tuesday.. the weather is perfect washington weather.. i have NO complaints :) i hope your's is going well tooo
