When I Started:
How I Started:
I stopped body building in '99. I was 132# with 13% BF. I've been in shape much of the time since until I hit my 31st birthday and my body went into the crapper!
I played four sports in high school and two in college, so I was feeling like my body was totally rejecting me!
I've been struggling with motivation the past two years. I don't know what's going on. I was working out twice a day when six weeks after turning 31 I gained 15# in less than 2 months then another 15# in the next 2 months. I kept working out for 5 months and then I just gave up. I didn't understand what was going on with my body. Getting back on track has been the hardest thing to do.
HOWEVER, since July '09 I have gone from 187# to 152#.
Why I Love It:
I had been a personal trainer for 10 years and I've been a Health/PE teacher for 9 years. I don't LOVE working out. It's remotely enjoyable and I like being active. I like the RESULTS of working out. And being a positive role model to the 1000s of students I come in contact with. But, right now I'm the biggest female PE teacher in our department and mentally that is really hard for me. I've gotten into such a negative mindset - that's the worst part of it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just get off my butt and get going. I try not to think about it. It's a struggle to stay motivated.
If I think about it, give it a second thought, I am done...it's over...I'll wind up sitting on my butt not doing a darn thing.
Hadn't worn a bikini since I was body building 10 years ago. So much has changed! It is time.
I hadn't worn these jeans in awhile. I was nicely surprised that they weren't straining around my gut. I can totally sit down in them now and feel good!

Since July I have lost THIRTY-FIVE pounds. I am very happy about that. However, my body fat was tested at 28%....BLEH. It's down only 1% in the past 9 weeks. it's all my fault. I have a really rough four weeks where my training wasn't consistent and my nutrition was disgusting. I'm...
My pleasure, make your body a piece of art and it's always a work in progress. Great work yourself! Stay motivated and don't stop until you're happy with what you see in the mirror. :)
Hi! :)Hope you had a great Christmas! I am doing well, thanks!I got sick several weeks back n then had sitter issues so I wasn't able to go to the gym! :(Been back in for a few weeks, but Steve wanted me to try this other "pre-PFD" workout routine to slowly get me back into things since I had been out.Now my b/f wants to do it with me, so I'm gonna do this workout for a few more weeks to get him into the swing of things and we will start the PFD together! :DHow's things going with you?
I dropped by to see how you are doing and ask how things are going? I hope that all is well and that your motivation is staying high. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance please feel free to give me a yell. Remember:”If you will not settle for anything less than your best, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in your life.”
u r officially nuts! LOL! i trip over that damn rope constantly! It's a great addition to my weight lifting routine though. Speaking of which, how's your workouts coming along?
