When I Started:
How I Started:
I stopped body building in '99. I was 132# with 13% BF. I've been in shape much of the time since until I hit my 31st birthday and my body went into the crapper!
I played four sports in high school and two in college, so I was feeling like my body was totally rejecting me!
I've been struggling with motivation the past two years. I don't know what's going on. I was working out twice a day when six weeks after turning 31 I gained 15# in less than 2 months then another 15# in the next 2 months. I kept working out for 5 months and then I just gave up. I didn't understand what was going on with my body. Getting back on track has been the hardest thing to do.
HOWEVER, since July '09 I have gone from 187# to 154#.
Why I Love It:
I had been a personal trainer for 10 years and I've been a Health/PE teacher for 9 years. I don't LOVE working out. It's remotely enjoyable and I like being active. I like the RESULTS of working out. And being a positive role model to the 1000s of students I come in contact with. But, right now I'm the biggest female PE teacher in our department and mentally that is really hard for me. I've gotten into such a negative mindset - that's the worst part of it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just get off my butt and get going. I try not to think about it. It's a struggle to stay motivated.
If I think about it, give it a second thought, I am done...it's over...I'll wind up sitting on my butt not doing a darn thing.
Hadn't worn a bikini since I was body building 10 years ago. So much has changed! It is time.
I hadn't worn these jeans in awhile. I was nicely surprised that they weren't straining around my gut. I can totally sit down in them now and feel good!
I'm glad I took so many pics in different clothes that didn't fit in Aug and Sept. It really motivates me to put the pics side by side. I need to see that. I don't always see what I have accomplished when I look in the mirror. I always see what I haven't done and where I am not. This is such...
thank you for your understanding and compassion =) I have to wait for my finals to be over, they're on wednesday. I can't put my energy in starting those things, I need to focus on studying till wednesday after that the pressure drops, I can workout again and figure out some solutions. Thank you =)
It's my second nephew and I also have three nieces =) but I'm still excited to have a new one in our family =)
good luck with your routine, take care =)
kind regards
Manuel
I am trying. Nice tummy girl. I am trying to step my game up on tummies, so I did this ab exercise with 100lbs. I just said I am going hard on them today. I didn't think I could do 100lbs. And I did. The cool thing is it got easy after while. Till the sets kicked in.lol But yea, I am proud of both of us!^_^
yep guts are tough, pretty lucky as i have always carried my weight in my ass and thighs. slow is way better anyway, becomes more of a lifestyle that way!
I stopped by to say that you look great! I want to compliment you on your dedication, determination and achievement. You are a fantastic example of what can be done when someone decides to get it done and a great inspiration to so many others. Stay strong, focused and determined.
