When I Started:
Oct, 2006
How I Started:
I founded my current band September 2006 and slowly began to work on my fitness after a very rude person remarked that I was a great singer but not that attractive. This hurt me deeply but made me realize that I had let myself get out of shape and frumpy. I was determined to get myself back to a better place physically and emotionally.I also needed to put more effort into losing weight because of my insulin resistance problem.
Why I Love It:
I love the increased energy and physical freedom that strength training and cardio provide. I have more confidence in front of an audience and greater endurance to carry a four hour gig as a lead performer. I also have a condition known as PCOS which makes losing weight and keeping it off a challenge. I manage my condition with a combination of exercise, diet and medication. Strength training is a very important part of overcoming insulin resistance.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am photographed frequently on stage as a singer and I'd like to see continuous improvements in my photographs as well improve my overall appearance and stage prescence. My husband is also very supportive. I love the support from people on this site! This place is awesome!
BB Accomplishments:
Starting and staying with it!

I want to be a transformation of the week by October.
Goal (Long):
I have struggled with my weight on and off for years but I am ready to change my body for good! I am the lead singer in a band and I want to improve my physique to match my talent. I want to be fifty pounds lighter by May 2008. I would also like to completely reverse the effects of hyperinsulinemia that have been wreaking havoc on my body for years. My goal is to be free of medication I take to treat this condition by next year.
I have my revised workout that I will start on Monday and I think I should take a better look at my diet. I have been eating the right foods but I haven't been eating six times a day as I should. I will be looking at the diet articles over the next day and try to improve in that area as well. I...
It was my pleasure to try and provide you with a bit of the experience I have gained not only working on my own body but that of my wife and various clients. If I can be of any assistance in the future please, do not hesitate to get in touch. I enjoy nothing better than to see someone not only achieve but possibly surpass their fitness goals &/or dreams.
wow you are getting there. I find that my diet was the hardest thing for me as a chef. I put my knowledge to word and look at my diet and made a few change one big one was cutting out all simple sugars (ie white rice, most cereals, milk) sub brown rice, oatmeal the steel cut version this fills you some time you have to remember to eat and soy dairy products. Most important is to eat 6 time a day. good luck

thank you. Yes, I will be doing it in stages, maybe one week on one week off just to get the feel of it. It's not supposed to be used everyday. We'll see once I get some. :-)
Thank you for the compliment, yeah everything above and below my stomach is doing good. LOL
I'm glad to hear that! I am still waiting for my sample of Cytolean. Giving it another couple of weeks. And at the very least, I will get a bottle when I beat Steph in our powerlifting competition at the bash
