When I Started:
How I Started:
I moved to Denver six years ago, with little money and no job. So with lots of spare time on my hands, I joined the gym to have something else to do when I wasnt searching for a job.
Why I Love It:
Being able to look and feel good about yourself.
How I Stay Motivated:
My motivation comes from the all haters out there who want to see you fail at whatever you aspire to do in life. Lately for me my motivation has also come from within. I know I am responsible for my successes and failures.
BB Accomplishments:
Though not necessarily a bodybuilding accomplishment, I ran my first 5K a couple years ago as a challenge from a friend. I trained for it 5 weeks prior to the race by hitting the weights and doing alot of interval cardio training on the treadmill to build my endurance. I finished my first 5K in under 34 minutes.
What supplements do you take immediately before your workout? Why?

What is your cardio exercise plan?
Interval cardio.
5 minute warmup (walking 3-3.5 mph). Then I do what I call 2 minute sets.
30 second sprints (6.5-8.0 mph)
90 seconds walking (3 mph)
Repeat steps 2 and 3
Sometimes I will do this for 15 minutes before I hit the weights and again after the weights for another 15-25 minutes. If it's a cardio only day then I go for 45 minutes.Interval cardio.
5 minute warmup (walking 3-3.5 mph). Then I do what I call 2 minute sets.
30 second sprints (6.5-8.0 mph)

There are some things that we all hate when working out at the gym. My pet peeves are very few, but I just added a new one today. Hovering. You know when you're on a machine and someone comes over and instead of asking to get in on a set or two they just hang out at the machine next to you...
I lived in Durham county back in '01. The big town of Bahama. Now I live near Fort Bragg. My wife works there and it's close to home.
