Started lifting weights in May to train for hockey, but have been doing cardio, stretching and bodyweight exercises for about a year. It's all for hockey, and to get myself into a body I can feel comfortable with.
Why I Love It:
I like to push myself to get better, to do a bit more than I did last time. At the gym, I keep a log so I know what I have to do to better myself. The results will speak for themselves. As will my spot on the varsity team.
How I Stay Motivated:
The results, the energy I get, the fact that I feel better living like this than I did being a couch potato. I get comments about my new physique, which is still pretty hard to grasp. It's easy to stay motivated when the starting varsity spot is right there for the taking.
BB Accomplishments:
Having lost 35 lbs since September in a healthy fashion.
