Thank you for the nice comment! I started in December and couldn't squat 135, now I can do 12 reps of 145 and my goal is to squat 500 soon! That would be nuts! I have always been strong but never trained to be stronger, so I think the learning curve was in my favor :)

Thank you! My original deadlift goal was 300 and I did it 4 weeks after training for the meet! I gotta set some new goals I guess!

Yeah, it was my first day on the monolift! Did 215 with no gear, then added knee wraps and the bands and got up to 315 or something around there. Rick says my legs are stronger than my back so I need more band training.

Haha no that squat is totally fake, it is still on the supports! One of my gym's world-record holding powerlifters was using that weight and I thought it would be funny to take a pic.

I haven't been training to max effort squat yet, still doing it for reps. I am just learning the powerlifting stance so today I only did 125 for 8 reps.

Ummm.. yes the weight is really 1150, and it is touching my back... but the supports are still on it and it's totally fake. That was the weight one of our gym's world champions was squatting!

We have lots of guys from Lincoln that train at Big Iron. It is the best atmosphere if you are into powerlifting. The guys pull on Wednesday nights, come in some time!
