I've always been very active, ran track in highschool and was a competitive swimmer for 5 years. I gained 25 lbs. during the summer of 2004, while working at a summer camp in NY. After my return home, I took one look in the mirror and knew that I could not possibly live like that!That was just the motivation that I needed to get my butt back in shape!
Why I Love It:
Working out is not only physically and mentally empowering, but SUCH a great stress relief as well.
How I Stay Motivated:
I try to tell myself "one day at a time". The cookie I ate yesterday, was exactly that, yesterday! Today is a new page, a new day to do it right! I try to focus on how much better I feel after a work-out, and go from there.

Life is so unexpected sometimes. I found out I was expecting just as I was preparing for my first figure competition back in November. What a shock that was!! Almost immediately, I had to significantly decrease the impact and intensity of my workouts. Since then, I've been trying to stay in...
