  • For sure! They always seem to put unnecessary pressure on my low back. I may just do other leg exercises. Yeah, I for sure dont want to blow out my back again!

  • Besides, squats put a whole bunch of stress on the knees, especially the front lower part of them. Though squarts will allow you to train a bunch of mucle groups in one motion, they are worse thing for the knees. There are better excerises for the legs though they will take more time to get the results that squats get. As with any part of the body, you know how much you use them when they start to hurt and won't work as they did in the past. Knee surgery is not much fun.

tarah28 Funny you say that! I'll actually be going to my first NPC show tomorrow to cheer on my girl Shelly Woods! She's awesome and aiming to become a bikini pro. Totally my inspiration: over 40, 3 boys, husband and still rocking it! I'm hoping to do the same in my (early) dirty 30s. Thanks for the sweet comments.
