HOW I STARTED:

I've always liked being active, but learned weightlifting from my husband 10 years ago.

WHY I LOVE IT:

Weightlifting and working out in general make me feel ALIVE. It seems to have kept me from aging like the people around me.

Mayra, you inspire me b/c you are taking charge of your body. I also think you are inspiring b/c you don mind the hate you get at work. My family is the same way with me. I was almost 300lbs and could not walk. I had surgery and lost weight and now I am addicted to a healthy lifestyle. My dau is the same way(well most of the time)lol. Keep getting betta and don mind the hate, let it motivate :)

Wow, if you look at the last blog I wrote and look at this pic, you'll see what's happened to me.  I think I was already pregnant when I wrote that, LOL.  I'm just now revealing to the world I am indeed 18wks pregnant.  


I feel great and am going to get back on track.  Went to the gym yesterday and did some squats.  I'm paying for it now.  Whether it's the lactic acid or the DOMS, I don't really know, but that's what I get for stopping the workouts!

Well, I gotta be honest.  I did this LiveFit thing not truly expecting to finish.  I would've been working out, but the program offered to keep my mind spinning away from my previous tragedy in life.  I also thought that I'd get pregnant and that would keep me from the daunting Phase 3.  LOL  Oh, the irony.  It would appear higher forces want me to complete this trainer rather than to give into that posh world of pampering and baby planning.  I had told myself if I did get pregnant during the LiveFit, I'd continue to do whatever I could

I just did 2nd workout of phase 3 and I loved it. At first I felt funny about jumping rope and doing mountain climbers and all this other stuff in my super sets, but you got to do it! I know people were looking at me funny because I'm the only one doing that stuff randomly all over the gym, but I was pretending I was the only one in there! I'll admit... I think I procrastinated after I looked at the first phase 3 workout. Can you believe I doubted myself? Plus it was after the crazy Halloween weekend where I fell behind again. christicalderon This week I've been a baaaad girl but I am not going to let it keep me down. Lost my groove for a bit. Been doing my HIIT on the stepper. My shins can't take the running. I leave my shirt soaked by the end of 25 min. Glad your doing great! Nov 12, 2011 1:05pm

christicalderon Yeah! I go to 7 for my max and do 20 minutes. I do intervals on the stepper because it's easier on my knees sometimes. My shins are due to the jumprope. Thanks to BCAA's and Aminos I feel better quicker. Hang in there. Take it at your own pace. I think 8 is for like people who are in their early 20's lol... That makes me pass the max. init4life Thanks, I've been doing a little tailoring to my own specific needs by doing some cardio and I am feeling a difference. I'm just proud of myself for making it to the gym and hitting it hard for 3 weeks in a row along with eating good. That alone, is a HUGE accomplishment for me.
