When I Started: Oct, 2006
How I Started: I started lifting weights at age 17. Before this I was a long distance runner but suffered knee and hip injuries that ended that career. I was crushed by this but decided to pour my energy into something new, weightlifting. For the last seven years I lifted off and on but NEVER realized the importance of nutrition and a clean lifestyle until about a year ago. I took a detour into the world of fashion modeling recently and lost alot of the muscle I had worked so hard to build. I am now on the road back to fitness and bodybuilding shape, where I truly feel my best.
Why I Love It: I live by the motto NEVER SETTLE and bodybuilding is a perfect example of this. In the past I had settled for the results I got from lifting a couple times a week, eating junk, and drinking entirely too much. I also love bodybuilding because it's NOT EASY, it leaves me with a great sense of accomplishment at the end of every day.
How I Stay Motivated: I stay motivated by NEVER forgetting where I came from. My family, friends, and I have been through alot and I want to be the one to pull us up out of this.

Can you get your body fat measured at Gold's in Rosslyn? The one I go to in Arlington doesn't seem to offer that. I think they blew their budget on flat-screen televisions.
