Background

When I Started: Jan 2008
HOW I STARTED:

I am 50 years old and have always had to work out. At exactly 48 years of age, I started having a gut. Fat around the middle. I never had that problem before. I want to use this forum to track any successes I may have and inspire others my age to fight back against the fat around the middle.

WHY I LOVE IT:

God gave me this body and I am grateful. I really just enjoy moving it about. I have always been inclined to move around. When I don't work out, I just don't feel good.

Jamie Eason's LiveFit.

Phase 3 of eating. I will have to start counting calories. Which means I will be eating more now from what I am finding out.

 Protein shake in the am with fruit added (an orange or blueberries), with vitamins and supplements.

One Activia Yogurt.

One pumpkin protein bar & one container of low carb yogurt.

One pumkin protein bar.

Salad & meat portion. Usually fish. If I don't have salad, I will have a vege serving. I don't usually do a starch, I just stopped wanting any.

If I am hungry, I will eat a small snack at night, (6pm for me). It might be cereal (1/2 cup oatmeal and silk milk, or another small salad, or protein bar, or turkey muffin, whatever smells and looks good).

Week 12 Complete! Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer


If you are thinking about trying this program, stop thinking about it and just go ahead and do it. Did I ever get hooked! Once I got past the unusual (eating 6 times a day vs. 3 times a day and no cardio in the beginning) it was just fun to follow.


Every week you get an e-mail from Jamie with a pep talk and some really good recipes and tips. Learning and doing the new and different exercises made it interesting to me. All the changes kept my muscles guessing. Something that was hard in the beginning was push ups.&nbs

Week 11 Complete!


This past week was so much easier because it didn't take as long to complete the weight training portion of the training.


Looking back on doing this program, a couple of things have truly changed how I think about keeping fit at my age. Eating 5-6 times a day was major because it helped to regulate my digestion. Changing the exercise routine up really kept my muscles guessing and kept it interesting. All the lunges, deadlifts, and squats that I usually avoided for fear of injury never gave me a a hint of pain (other than 3 days of good muscle sore

Training this way has changed how I will work out from now on. I am looking for the next program after this one is complete. Now I know I over-trained before.


There are so many benefits I didn't realize, until I actually did the program for a solid 7 weeks. The last 2 weeks have been hectic because I had to learn new exercises. After looking ahead for the next 2 weeks, the program isn't as time consuming as the last week and this current week.


Now to print out this week's workouts since my cooking for the week is all complete.

ltmuscle the trainer called to cancel as I was driving to the gym to meet her, the next day was miscommunication. That just raised my blood pressure and I killed the gym that day, it was great! I know she will be there in the morning and I'll set something up with her one more time. Thanks for the arm comment. sistab2 Wow that's why you look real good too. I never tried Laura Bailey's workout but it sounds like something I would really like to try. Maybe after my Body Sculpting Routine. I think any of Body Builders workout works, if you really want it to work, it's only up ourselves that can make changes in our daily life's, and this is the best way. May 15, 2012 5:48pm

sistab2 Aloha Masica999, I am doing just great. I love the whole body sculpting routine. I work out 2 days on and 1 rest day and so on. I lost 2 more fat % in two weeks, and still going forward, How about you? Have you decided what you going to do after you workout routine? May 14, 2012 6:05pm
