When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
I did a bit of it in my 20's. After so many years I thought starting again was hopeless. I was fat, tired, and has little to no muscle tone. But after seeing some vacation photos of me, ugh. I had to give it a shot
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel great. And the more I do it the easier and more enjoyable it gets. The results have been mind blowing. I never thought that I could get to state that I am in now.
How I Stay Motivated:
I love it. And the looks I get from gents my age or younger who are not in as good a shape, is a plus.
BB Accomplishments:
The thought of me on stage competing makes me laugh. Yeah, like that will happen. But, that's what I thought about starting in the first place. So, who knows, in the future.......

[Forum Signature]..You're at the gym to lift weights.... So, lift your damn weights back up on the racks when you're done with em. ;-)
I was 260#. I got so tired of trying to jam my self into my jeans. And feeling like crap.I decided to make a commitment to work out. I had a gym membership. But very rarely went. I hired a trainer for just 10 sessions....and never looked back.
A good way to work on pull ups is to start doing them close grip with hands about a foot apart and palms facing in. When you can do several of those, turn the palms facing away at the same width, work those until you can do enough to challenge widegrip. I think I can only do widegrip for 12-15 on a good day, its not easy.
Thanks Mark for your encouragement! I'm pretty excited because of my little progress. My motivation was going down, but finally this slight improvement shows me that there's still hope. Just need to keep on doing my work!
well they do but it gets old real fast ya know. if your training this aint the place to try and get skinny you know??
