Always been an athlete. I was a gymnast for 12 years and played just about every sport. One day in high school i went to swim practice only to find out that the pool was closed for a month. Walked across the street to the gym and started lifting, got addicted, went to college, gained weight, and now I am back to lifting.
Why I Love It:
Love the feeling after a good workout and I love to see what my body can do. I love being sore and feeling pain.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have to be an example for my patients.
bodyspace. my friends who care about their bodies.
think about the people who can't do what we do, who are not physically or mentally able to exercise. dont take anything for granted.
right after i got back from africa. weighed 112 lbs (a lot less than now) but looked like shit. africa doesnt treat the body very well. and my shoes got stolen!
yay for finally being able to get back to the gym consistently!!
soo school sucks. i have no time to run long distance AND weight train so im cutting back to just some yoga (for sanity reasons), a few days of cardio, and a day or two of lifting. sometimes i run up the stairs to my apartment (11floors) when i cant do anything else.
Looking good there doc.... Hope your giving of thanks goes well. Hope that non alcoholic stay is going good too. I start working in the hospital this up sunday so hopefully my PPD will protect me...
