I started working out when I was 19. I started working out with a friend of mine who was a trainer, and learned the ropes! Many, many years later...I am now a mother of 2 kids (10 months old and 2 1/2...yeah, I am BUSY) and trying to get really, really lean. I am at about 16% BF now, but my goal is 13%. I hate when mom's say that they are heavy now because they had kids...lame! (That gives mom's a bad rap) OR...even worse, the people who won't have kids because the think it will destroy their body. It is a great time to be in shape for my kids, my hubby, my esteem, and my health!
Why I Love It:
RESULTS, RESULTS, RESULTS. Enough said!
Well, and I truly enjoy the "ME" time...It is one of the few things I do for myself. I also have a parent who is terminally ill...It helps me "deal" with it in some ways.
How I Stay Motivated:
Results! Looking at all of you super lean gals & super motivated people!
I think of those people who can't work out because they are injured or sick. I am blessed to have a healthy body.
BB Accomplishments:
Having two kids and getting my body back! That is a MAJOR accomplishment for me!

Docdru turned me onto crossfit a year ago! His passion and his challenges to me made me want to prove to the dude that I was just as tough as a Navy corpsman! lmao You can check out the crossfit website...www.crossfit.com that is where the WOD's come from. I do modified versions for some of my clients and they love it!!
cake guilt! the BEST kind! :) no big plans for the weekend.. the college teams have a big tourney so i'll be at some games but that's about it.. do you have anything fun planned?
Nothing I am writing out, but I am staying on course. Watching meat and veg portions. Mixing them as stated in the book. Eliminating various thing in as recommended. I am getting it together.
The new routine was a bit tough at first but I think I'll like it in the long run and hope to make some gains with it!I've never done the protein bars but will have to look into it...thanks!:)
Awww thank you Sweetie, its always so nice to have positive comments and support from other women! My week has been good, i'm still 'gimpy' from the Murph workout I did! CRAZY crossfit stuff! lol My kids go back to school today!! YAY!! Thats awesome you keep working out at home even if you cant make the gym!! WTG girl!!
Oh Lisa, I'm sorry to hear about your little boy. I hope all goes well. Good luck with everything. Concerning my diet, yes, I still follow it but not exactly as I should. Meaning that sometimes I will have a salad that I'm not supposed to have or will have ice cream or yogurt or a frozen pina colada or margarita even if it's not a cheat day - things like that. Nothing excessive or too bad but I've done it too much this summer so I def have to get back on track.
oh well if it's bday cake, then you MUST partake of it :) happy birthday, btw :) i find that i'm doing a mish-mash type of training now.. some p90x, some old school weights and some CrossFit.. i'm never happy with just one thing
I did the online training thing for 6 months except I injured myself within the first month! I learned a lot from my online trainer (Phil Valenti from here on bb.com) but I do want to try someone live to check my form, me, etc. If I can't find someone local, I will do online again.
my guess is you aren't getting enough healthy fat in your diet.... and too few carbs... the diet i sent should help you regulate those things...the key is NO CHEATS.... try to stay clean for 10 days and then have your cheat be only 1 meal - no more that 600 extra cals.
Hmmm....well, it's better but not 100 percent. There are many exercises that I'm still unable to do but at least I don't have horrible pain 24/7 as I did. I was ready to chop off both my arms to get some relief.
Awww, thank you so much! I guess like everyone else...lose BF and build more muscle. I don't want to be huge, just have more muscle, more definition, more sculpted. I was better about 4-5 months ago but I injured my shoulder and that set me back some :(
