I've never been morbidly obese, but for most of my life I was kind of chubby. So a few years ago I started running to lose weight. After a couple years as a cardio queen, I finally decided to add some resistance training. So I started doing Pilates. That was like my gateway into weight lifting. Once I started lifting, everything just took off from there. I only wish that I would have started sooner.
I used to have a set cardio schedule, but now I just get in atleast 3 30-45 minute sessions a weeks whenever I can. The type of cardio I do depends on how I feel and/or what is available. What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
40% Protein, 25-30% Carbs, 30-35% Fats
I usually eat 1850-1950 calories on training days and 1700 calories on rest days.
Well i'm glad i'm not a Vegan either. BBQ is so delicious. But then again thats why i have to spend so much time doing dardio. HaHa ohh well. And your not a dork your just thourough.
Well the only reason I did it was because it was pretty strict and would shock my system. Also kinda served as a detox for me. Went vegan, raw and then just healthy (very clean).
It's too hard to get good muscle gains from tofu/soy as the absorption rate (70%) is MUCH lower than meats and whey.
What are your current goals?
Thanks for the add.
Looks like your doing great with your workout.
I have never seen a headspring but i'm going to try and youtube it, it sounds interesting.
I'm glad to hear you didn't drown. Ha! I did chest today myself, and a great workout it was. If you look on the over 35 forum, under pushups, there are some interesting discussions. One exercise mentioned, that I haven't tried, was rack chins. Check it out!
