my goal: Transform My Body

Training for the NPC West Texas Classic. Goal is to qualify again for Nationals. Although I've qualified before, time and money have kept me from going in the past. Overall I am really very excited for this competition season to start.

Background

When I Started: Sep 2008
HOW I STARTED:

BIOGRAPHY Full name: Brandie Mischele Dean Hometown: Lubbock, TX Stats (36/24/26) Age: 33 D.O.B.: 7/21/77 Height: 5?4? Weight: 126 Hair color: Blonde Eye color: Hazel Brown Bio: (abbreviated) I am 33 year old mother of two, figure competitor and fitness model. When I was 18 I married the boy that I first kissed on the playground in kindergarten. I am studying now to earn certification as a personal trainer/nutrition consultant with a four year degree in exercise science to follow. Full Bio: GENERAL: I am a NPC figure competitor. I exercise daily incorporating both weight training and cardio into my regiment. I maintain a healthy diet and although I do use protein supplementation, I achieved my physique naturally. I general, I am an intelligent and hardworking individual who doesn’t mind learning new things. I have a humble and gracious attitude and am easy to work with. I value integrity and working with other like-minded individuals. My hobbies include spending time with my husband and two children, working out, modeling and reading fitness related articles. I am a NPC figure competitor. Most people find me easy going with a positive outlook. In addition to my current studies to earn certification as a personal trainer and nutrition consultant, I am a sophomore enrolled @ TTU studing to earn a degree in exercise science and a minor in Health. PERSONAL: I am a 33 year old mother of two. Kaitilin (daughter) who is 11 and McKale (son) who is 10. I home-school both of my children which is sometimes difficult but it allows me to be with them throughout the day. Kaitilin is my little mother hen/glam girl who wants to be every ones friend. She has never met a stranger which is a bit scary now but it will serve her well when she becomes president. McKale is much more reserved. He is a mamma’s boy, no he’s a rough and tough mamma’s boy that will love on me and give me the sweetest sugar this side of Hershey, Pennsylvania. He loves playing Guitar Hero and blows my mind with his level of skill. I have been married to my “Kindergarten Sweetheart”, Mark since 1996. Mark and I met when we were 4 years old, married at 18 and have been deeply and madly in love ever since. We plan to grow old holding each other in our arms, and never ever taking a day of life for granted. But we don’t plan to start growing old for another 40-60 years from now! HOW IT ALL STARTED: In the summer of 2008 my daughter, Kaitilin, and son, McKale set up a lemonade stand in front of our home. They enthusiastically waved down cars to sell them cool refreshment. During the course of their sales a man stopped and bought a glass of lemonade and began speaking with me about a case study that involved incorporating weight training with cardio. All of my adult life I stayed in shape by using workout videos and simple hand weights. The new study would put me in the gym using heavy weights and cardio equipment that I had never used before. After just six weeks I made significant improvements to my muscle tone and dropped my body fat from 18% to 13%! Soon I was being asked by my friends to compete in figure competitions. I began training for my first competition on January 1st 2009. That is how it started, there is know telling how it will end. By the way the kids made almost $100 in lemonade sales. True story! Respectfully, ~Brandie Mischele Dean

WHY I LOVE IT:

I enjoying working out because it makes me feel better about myself. Most of all though I want my husband, Mark, to be proud of me. I want him to know that I am not only working out for myself but for him and our 2 children, as well. I want to stay in shape so that I can grow old with my husband and see our children grow-up and have children of their own.

My Motivation Program

I try to look a things long-term. My husband, Mark, and I have a wonderful marrige. I am a humble person but I always want to be appealing for my husband. When I am 65 years old I want him to look at me with the same desire that he does now. Don't think for a second that he is shallow or anything derogitory. I just want to be MY best for him. Those are things that anyperson would want and appreciate.

My husband, Mark, helps keep me to stay motivated. If I miss a workout session, I really feel bad about myself. I feel very guilty. I like staying in a good positive mood and working out helps me stay that way. I guess trying to stay positive is a good motivator.

These Are My Goals!

Posted in Training  :  Dec 28, 2010 9:59pm
By the time you finish reading this you will understand that I am somewhat of an ambitious girl. And well, I am. I mean if I just said something along the lines of “As a goal I want to live a healthier lifestyle", I get to determine what healthier is by the level of motivation I have from day-to-day and I can quit on any one of those days where I have had enough. By listing these specific goals everyone will know in full living color that I have a set place that I want to be. I will also have the satisfaction of saying "Yes, I have goals! I have given it thought! These are the things...

Birthday Post

Posted in Training  :  Dec 28, 2010 9:59pm
For the past several weeks and even more in the past 6 days, I have been hard at work updating my website and my profiles which I subscribe to. All of the hard work is beginning to pay off. I am becoming more organized which makes my life a lot more efficient. Beginning this blog, and posting regular updates to my bodyspace stats and workout tracker is part of that organization process.  The reason that I decided to get "hardcore" about documenting my progress is really a long and complicated answer. The short of it is that as of tomorrow I will be 32 years old. Set aside the fa...

guest Hi Brandie! I came across your post about training for your first comp on the boards. You've come a long way since 2009. I am beginning to prepare for my first comp. which is in Dallas on sept8th (NPC, bikini). I see you're from the Lubbock area as am I. Though I've done well on my own I am hoping to find a coach as the competition nears. Are you still in the LBK area? If so do you train or know any experienced competitors that train around here? MichaelRS OMG! I am not only a rock, I am astupid rock. For months now i have used this comment section to highlight ones profile pics (with "arrows") < < < and compliment them. What was off my radar was what they received and saw was MY pic, not their's. That rendered the comment out of context, unfunny (if that was the goal) and no doubt very very strange to the receiver. IE < < < "nice abs" LOL as i said, a rock. Apr 9, 2010 11:19am
