When I Started:
Nov, 2004
How I Started:
I started working out at Bally's Fitness at the age of 19. I fell in love with weights, cardio, and what they did for my body.
I quit working out after baby #1, and by baby number 2, I had gained 50 lbs of body fat.
I rejoined Bally's at that time, lost 50 lbs, and maintained that 50 lb weight loss for about 5 years.
Then baby #3 came along.
To make a long story a tad bit longer, I quit the gym once again, in the name of good motherhood. (Big mistake ladies!)
With that, and a large amount of post-partum depression, I managed to gain over 100 lbs, leaving me at a devastating 245+lbs.
After 7 years of no exercise, I eventually rejoined a gym, in my local rural community.
I have managed thus take off 100 lbs and I am still going.
A work in progress, at age 38 (&1/2), I find that I love the weights more than ever.
I believe they saved my life.
Why I Love It:
It makes me lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve my body! =)
SERENITY, BALANCE, STRENGTH, ENDORPHINS!
Better than an anti-depressant and a natural aphrodisiac.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at other women more dedicated and resolved than myself.
Looking at pictures and bio's of died in the wool fitness chicks in magazines such as Oxygen.
Talking to hot muscle babes online.
Henry Rollins, "The Iron"
Knowing that as we age, we must lose beauty, but we do not have to lose strength.
Remembering where I came from, and vowing never to go back.
BB Accomplishments:
Losing 120 pounds of bodyfat and keeping it off. Having abs that I can feel. Becoming more confident and true to myself each day.

Wearing a bikini at a public pool, a 13 year old girl looked up at me getting into the water and said, "Wow! You're prettty!!" lol... & a teenage lifeguard kept taking my picture. ;)
Ava Cowan asked me to be her bb.com friend! :)
Boys tell me they want to worship me, go down on me, and kiss my pretty muscles! I believe them! =)
I was chosen...

Maddichanged Overall Goal: "Why can't I do it...why can't I set my monkey free? Always giving in to it...do I love my monkey or do I love me? Why can't I do it...why do I have to share my body with a monkey, with a monkey.........aieiei?."
Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day.
Goal (Long):
I am adopting the mindset of the eternal narcissist. If it was good enough for Arnold, it is good enough for me. Think female wrestler. I have made my body worthy of worship. I am perfectly imperfect. I am strong, powerful, confident, sexy. I have thick full muscle bellies with lots of curves and form.
Lifting like a girl these days. I've backed way down, last night lifting approximately half of my usual weights. It's humbling, but I figure better to be there lifting half, or continue to re injure myself and be out cold (unable to walk and in a world of pain) for 8 weeks or...
Hello Maddi, I just posted comment on your latest blog post, but the comment didn't attribute to my profile I'm not sure why. So, there's a long post from 'Will' which is from me. Sorry it got so damn long!
thanks girl, yeah i just think it is sad people wanna be negative like that then can't even take constructive criticism in return by posting a pic...lol..
Monkeys are slim, trim and athletic and eat healthy (Picking bugs from fellow monkeys and eating them is a good source of lean protein, not to mention bananas); So it's not so bad sharing your body with a monkey, unless, of course, you're talking about Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream. That's not good at all.
you know Maddi, i think for your height and amount of muscle you possess, you look great. you really should try not to make such a big deal of eating whatever and all that. you will turn it on again. every now and then it's good to wig out and pig out. it helps to keep to me sane. love ya no matter what.
There's no way you only out-lift the old guys Maddi!!! I see the shape you're in, I know you lift big :) It'd be great to lift with you, lol, I reckon I'd have to up my game so as not to lose a little face ;)
