How I Started:
I was an athlete in high school - so being fit and active was not a focus it was fun. After getting married and having 5 children the body needed tuning. I started working out at a local YMCA taking a power lifting class and began to love bodybuilding.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy the way the results look & feel. I love being almost 40 and in better shape then people a fraction of my age. I feel that I am on the path to a healthy, active older age.
How I Stay Motivated:
That's a tough one - ultimately if I "fall off the wagon" it doesn't take long to realize that I don't feel as healthy as I could - so that motivates me.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Usually a minute or less. Quite often I am pressed for time and do Supersets and only "rest" enough to catch my breath. I figure I am lifting and getting a little cardio action in when I workout lik...more

10 reps - easy to count and track I guess.

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
It wasn't from "lifting" but pushups - I tweaked my shoulder (probably rotator cuff). It was very noticeable for weeks. Rest seemed to be the key to it feeling better.

how are your workout going? just got back in the gym after a month off doc orders for a seizure. Have been workout for 2 weeks and love the results and never thought it would feel so good to be sore the next day

I am also a chef at the Ivy league University on the east coast. We are always making new food items to taste. I try to use more spice, herb , asics to make the food taste good and be good for you. This is what we call stealth health. I have used my kid a home to test most of these ne item only a few flops

I you are looking for a leg workout check out my leg workouts . I have a training partner that is a women and 4'8" and I am 6'3" she said she had a killer leg workout and i was game boy was she right it take about 4 day to recover from it. So now i am using her workout but heavy weight tha she does.

The guys would die if I worked out in heels..hahaaaaaaa! Most have no idea I do any modeling and usually see me kind of grubby and tomboy-like. Hows the tendonitis?
