Sycamore High School Attended 2000 to 2004 Pleasant View, Tennessee United States
When I Started:
Aug, 2004
How I Started:
A Couple of buddies I went to High School with had a FLEX and a MUSCLE & FITNESS magazine, I always wanted to look like Arnold since I saw the Terminator and those magazines were my gateway so to speak.
Why I Love It:
Makes me feel good, it has got to be the best stress relief I have found. If I ever have something on my mind, going to the gym and just lifting hard while thinking things through is the best release for me.
How I Stay Motivated:
Short-term goals like increasing this lift by 5 or 10 pounds in the next month or adding a few more reps if adding weight is not feasible. Looking at the charts on here have really become a motivation, I cannot always look at myself in the mirror and see a difference but numbers don't lie.
BB Accomplishments:
Went from 155lbs. my senior year in High School to 185lbs. my freshman year of college and stayed around 12-15% BF. It's not really a Bodybuilding accomplishment but it was an accomplishment to me.
Get my bench back to 275 where it was a year ago.
Get my squat back up to 225 for 5 sets of 10 reps.
I would like to improve the symmetry of my Lats.
To get my arms to 18"
To maintain a new lifestyle in which lifting no longer requires an effort to make time for the gym or a meal.
My overall goal is to reach a 10%BF at 195.
It has been one week since I started my new diet. Fairly interesting week, I know its not the healthiest diet as I eat twice a day and have shakes for the other 4 meals. I am taking universal's multivitamin pack and maintaining a water intake of 90 oz a day. Strength is fairly...
sorry to hear that. well good luck with finals. training for me is going pretty well. bulking right now. actually planning to come visit one of my friend at mtsu, perhaps this weekend after finals. one thing i need to work on is to tone down on the drinking!
oh that sucks man! You should really try to make some food ahead of time and bring it with you to work. Thats what I do now. I bring 4 meals with me to work everyday. I just finished my first succesful cut, went from 169 to 161.5lbs in 4 weeks. Going to start bulking on thursday, hope to see the same sucess as i did with the cut.
Hey Shane, you are making some great steady progress in the weight loss. Looking a lot leaner. Man, I feel your pain. Its amazing how quick it jumps on you. You still have a very good base physique and as you lose more fat and replace it with lean muscle, you are really going to see some incredible changes. Stay focused, eat clean, and you know the rest....cardio and lift. I'm trying to do the same. Great job so far!
No i'm not gonna compete till i'm done with school. Too much goin on and my grades come first. I'm still in the gym everyday though. I'm actually training for a fraternity boxing trny right now.
Just stay persistent with it man, i'm sure you'll get in eventually. I'm going to school for nursing. I'm not applying to nursing school till next January though. Anyways.. the guy that did my diet was named Keith (Skip, as a lot of ppl call him). I knew him from work. Doing the show and getting below 5 percent was one of the hardest things i've ever done but WELL worth it. It was a great experience!
Hi Shane, thank you so much for the friendship invite, I appreciate it! Best wishes on your goal. I am marking one year on my transformation - you can do it!
