When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I was brought up in a very active family, with my father owning a bike shop, I raced BMX, danced and played basketball. Sport has been my life. I started doing weights to tone up originally, but then I loved the changes it made to my body, so after 3yrs I just kept going back. I chose to put all my hard work to good use and achieved a goal of getting up on that stage and showing it off and with this hopefully inspire others to get out there and achieve their goals!!
Why I Love It:
It keeps me sane. If I've had a bad day I can release all that built up frusteration and feel awesome afterwards. Looking in that mirror and actually liking what I see.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look back at before and after shots. Visualize myself up on the stage beaming with confidence and pride.
Having wonderful supportive friends and family.
Motivation is just an emotion, If I feel low I get up and do it because I have to to be able to acheive my goal!
BB Accomplishments:
Reaching a weight I am finally happy with.
Winning my first Figure Comp at the ADF INBA Titles and backing it up 6days later and winning the NSW State INBA Title - Ms Figure Intermediate.

Maintain fitness, lean muscle, and 'always a 6weeks out from comp' Body!!!
Goal (Long):
I'd like to Inspire/re-assure other girls not to be scared of weights. You won't get 'huge' just by picking one up.
For the last two years I've wanted to compete and get up on that stage, but my confidence and other reasons held me back, but It's time to rid myself of excuses and take the bull by the horns - so to speak - and 'Just Do It' (thanx Nike).
All the years of complaining 'I can't tighten my glutes, my thighs are fat - Blah blah blah' Well in 4months I've dropped from a 12 to a 9 and I had to re-new my wardrobe (bummer)and all that I had changed was my attitude. No more 'I can'ts' and more like 'Bring it On!'
I want to remain this way, if not better, even after having Children.
If I don't place high this year in a Comp, I won't throw the towel in, I'll take what I learnt and what I need to improve on and make sure I kick arse the next year!
I have achieved my goal by winning both my competitions in a space of 1week, now I am in the lead up to achieve my next goal which will be accomplished Jul 09. Being a qualified Physical Training Instructor!
The above mentioned has been accomplished.. and now it's onto 2009 INBA Comps!! Bring it!
NEVER GIVE UP!!!
Do you sometimes use energy enhancing supplements?
Yes
Which supplements do you take? When do you take them?
Only for endurance events, eg Kokoda and cycling. But not for gym workouts. Only GU gels, or an electrolyte powder. Nothing outrageous.

What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
I don't aim to look like someone else. I'm doing it for me and to love what I see that's all my doing. Not trying/wishing to be someone else as that will never happen. That's what people need to realise. You can't strive to have the body of someone else. You can envy it, but I would not base your goals around it.I don't aim to look like someone else. What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
Well it has been a while since I have posted my thoughts and goals and I should mention the achievements of 2008!
I reached my goal of getting up on stage and competing in my first Figure Comp, I wasn't expecting the results I actually received, but boy was it a thrill. I won my first comp...
hey - just wondering if you could point me in the right direction on the drn about military comps - decided I really want to do it - but I can't find anything on there - hope your training is going well, how is course?
lest we forget! Cause without all the Australian service men and women, Australia wouldn't be what it is 2 day. :) Hope you enjoy a game of two up today and a beer for ANZAC day
:)
thank you. I had several close friends continue to tell me that I look so amazing as compared to back in the day and now they sorta come to me for advice and what not but I have to remind them they can't make short goals...its all about long term.
So hows the PT stuff coming along?
and btw thanks for the reminder..she's now my EXgf.. she left me for her former bf. (it was a great week)
