Hey Jim, things are going great over here! Just getting prepared to ship out. How have things been with you? I'm definitely still hitting the iron hard, but also been hitting the pavement hard. Really trying to improve my running. August 11th is still my date to leave, so I got 6 weeks left. I'll try to get a pre-basic pic up and a post-basic pic up to see how I've changed.

Yep. For lunges it's mainly walking lunges. I just load up 135 and walk up and down the gym. As far as sprinting goes I usually go to a track and all out sprint the straight-aways and jog the curves. Once I get too tired to jog the curves, I sprint the straights and walk the curves.

Thanks man, you got insane arms.. For legs it's mostly heavy squats, supersets with calf raises sometimes.. Lunges, leg press, olympic movements, and a lot of all out sprinting.

Hey John, how have you been? Hope you're staying safe. I got my contract and I'm leaving August 11th for BMT with a loadmaster slot. I'm excited! Training is going good over here. Just thought I'd stop by and see what you've been up to.

They are similar. I like training bodyparts 2x a week. M/Tue is powerlifting - 5x5 reps so low reps and high weight. T/F/S are hypertrophy. 3x8-12 with slightly lower weight. On m/tue I only do 4 exercises. On my hypertrophy days I incorporate supersets and about 8-9 exercises. First two are for power and rest is for size.

The names sound familiar... I might. I went to Westside freshman/soph year then transferred to Millard North for football Junior/Senior year.. I recognize the names though

Workouts are going good Jim! Here's basically the run down of my routine: M- upper body power (bench, shrug, row, military press (DB's), T- lower body power (squat, deads, calf raises, leg press) W- cardio/abs, T-chest/arms, F-legs, Sat- Shoulders/back, Sun- cardio/abs. I can do all the lifts I normally did before the surgery now, my shoulder doesn't give me any problems. Full range of motion, strength back, only thing is sometimes I have to sub dumbbells for barbells.

Everything's going good! I got some pictures post-surgery around here somewhere.. As far as sports go, I'm just doing some random intramurals here at my University. Right now I'm training for the Air Force :)
