When I Started:
Dec, 2006
How I Started:
I started lifting and becoming more fitness aware when I was 18 -- but struggled with my weight. I hit a high of 268 pounds Christmas 2003.
The start of my new fitness lifestyle was in December 2006 when I attended my first MMA class. I've lost 65 pounds since then, but didn't supplement much weightlifting into my training.
I suffered a serious arm injury from a fight in 2007(december). I'm trying to rebuild myself(& arm) stronger through weightlifting/bodybuilding.
Why I Love It:
Helps me to become stronger, fitter, leaner, and more athletic.
How I Stay Motivated:
Have a Goal in Mind - usually sport related.

At this point in time, I was very large, 240 pounds or so. I was still fairly active, lifted weights, and had lost about 20 pounds over 6 months time though from a high of over 265pounds.
I had another hard work out Sunday, consisting of Jump Rope, Shadow Boxing, Dumbell Burpees & jogging. Hardcore for sure. I'm sore all over. Dumbell Burpees have to be the single best exercise.
OMG! That was my first one, and I had the BIGGEST blister before I even hit the water. I wasn't used to running in combat boots. It took several weeks to heal...couldn't wear my shoes. It sucked! I ran the whole race with it, which made it even worse!
I truly thank you for your very kind words and hope that I can continue to live up to them. I enjoy it when I see others embrace fitness and if I can play even the smallest of roles in keeping them motivated then I am twice as happy. Thank you for taking the time to write and keep lifting those weights.
Thanks for the kind words , I appreciate that. That is indeed quite a difference on your side too. Feels pretty good , doesn't it? Although I'd like to lose more , I think I'm leveling off. I carry a wide-frame naturally , and I just don't think I'm meant to be lean. Take care , and be safe. Mike
What's up my man...looking strong! Just wanted to take the time to say hi and to wish you the best of luck and much success in meeting all your fitness goals. Train Hard!
Tips:
Eat 6 meals a day well portioned and balanced with protien, complex carbs and veggies or fruit
weightlift 4 times a week and do 2 days a week of cardio
