I was in college and I was tired of being skinny and scrawny. I had always been interested in bodybuilding and working out, and that began when I was in seventh grade. When I officially started, I wasn't doing too much. A few months later, I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune condition. My doctor recommended that I exercise daily, including weight lifting and cardio in my routine, and it has definitley made a big difference!
Why I Love It:
The pump. The feeling I get when I'm in the gym. The feeling I get when I'm out of the gym after being in the gym. The stress that melts away with every lift. And best of all, the compliments that I get when I see people for the first time in years... priceless.
How I Stay Motivated:
Every one goes through times when their motivation dips to lower levels than desirable, but it happens. Personally, I look back at my "before" pictures and then take a look in the mirror, and it reminds me that I've worked hard to be where I am and it's all been so worth it!
BB Accomplishments:
I've come a long way since I started, and I'm planning on continuing until I can't anymore. To me, it's definitely an accomplishment when people comment on how great I look... mission accomplished!

This picture was taken in late June of 2005. Looking at my pictures taken more recently you can see the progress (at least I can see some), but you can also see how hard it is for me to gain muscle...
I took two pictures this day and this one shows less definition in the chest area than the other picture, but it shows some progress since pictures that were taken in the past!
My weightlifting goal is to lose some bodyfat and remain healthy!
Goal (Long):
For my whole life I've been wanting to gain muscle, so my bigger, more long-term goal is to weigh between 160 and 170 at around 10% to 12% or less bodyfat.
Incredible progress and continuous dedication. Elijah inspires me to stick with my workouts and to not give up my dream of looking and feeling better in the future!
So yesterday was "Light Chest Day", and I have to say that it went well. Other than the Bench Press, the Incline Dumbbell Press, the Decline Bumbbell Press and the Flat-Bench Flyes are all 3 sets of 25 reps. Last week when I did the exercises, I was strugglin to get to 20. I took a...
