I was always naturally skinny as a teenager so I started to lift weights so I was able to play football as well as improve my self confidence. This might sound crazy but I idolized Mr-T as a young kid and wanted to be big and muscular so I guess you could say that Mr.T was my earliest inspiration to start lifting. I have never told anyone that so keep that one to yourself! ;)
Why I Love It:
There is no better way to start your day that working out / lifting. I putting on a shirt that use to be loose and now its skin tight. I love shopping for new slacks because my legs have filled out so much that the old ones are high-waters. Nothing gives me the self confidence and sense of well being that the gym does.
How I Stay Motivated:
When I step on the scale and see an added pound, or see a new vain sticking out that did not use to be there is all the motivation I need.
