How I Started:
I went to a summer camp and lifted then, but never really got into it. I used to weigh 159 and I decided to do something about it.
Why I Love It:
It feels great!!! You get great feelings of accomplishment, and you get a higher level of confidence.
How I Stay Motivated:
Going up in weights kept me motivated, also the pounds I was dropping.

Only if it has a progressive program - cycles of getting harder and easier. More like a leg workout than cardio. You have to do it for at least 20 minutes for heart health, then you start burning fat.

Whatever you do, do it in conjunction with your weight training. Muscle burns fat so you get double duty from buiding muscle!

I don't do much cardio other than swimming and bike riding! Most cardio is like running and it's catabolic (muscle wasting) instead of anabolic. High Intensity cardio, like sprints or a progressive program on an elypitcal machine would probably be best! That would burn fat without burning muscle!
