I played football in High School and messed around with lifting but didn't really know what I was doing. I really got into it after I joined the Air Force and started to gain weight.
Why I Love It:
When I lift, it's just me, my music and my determination. I'm in my own world.
How I Stay Motivated:
I think of my wife and my little girl. I want to be the best I can be for them. I don't want them to be embarrassed, I want them to feel special when people say, “that’s your husband/dad…wow.”

want to have shredded abs, a well put together back, sculpted chest, and defined arms. I’m deploying soon which will be a great opportunity to do what I need to do. I can focus on my job and my fitness. I won’t need to prepare food because I’ll be utilizing the chow hall. I will also be doing an ass load of cardio work i.e. up to 45 minutes of slow cardio and 15-20 minute High Intensity Interval Training Sessions. The diet will play the biggest role. I will minimize carb intake the first month and then carb cycle for last 6 months. Protein will be 1-1.5 grams per body lb.
Being deployed here in Iraq I have realized just how lazy and counterproductive I was back home. I have been here for 33 days and have lost 15 pounds. In the past week and a half I lost 6 pounds. I see many people here on Body Space with excuses like, I work long hours, I don’t have time to...
My lifting goals are always coming along, ever increasing. Weight loss goals are a pain lately. I have surgery coming up for a stomach hernia, so all goals will hit the shelf until I'm recovered.
Not very good...ever since I got out of the academy its been steady downhill, but its getting way to hard to chase people on foot so I'm lookin to turn it around now.
not as good as i have hoped. i've been on the road a lot for work since i joined and i've gotten behind. i'll be back in hawaii here soon and i shouldn't be leaving again for awhile so i hope to be back on track soon. thanks for asking!
ok i suppose. there has been enough of a change that "people notice" that I am smaller. I get comment when i wear tee shirts and fitted button up shirts. I don't wear baggy clothes much anymore.
BUT, I still can't get this stomach to go away. People keep saying it will, and that it goes last and is the hardest part. I believe it! Now I am working on core training to see if that helps.
Thanks for asking. How about yours?
Well, you know...Thanksgiving is just that...thankful for being surround by family so live it up. I remember being stuck in a telephone booth on a depressing foggy Thanksgiving Day calling my friends and family. Hearing everybody in the background laughing...man did that suck. Any news on being a TI? I thought you applied for it...
Damn bro - you will be ripped just in time for Christmas! HAHAHA Heck - you will be so shredded that you could probably scarf all that holiday food down and it wouldn't do anything to ya! Be safe bro -
Hi M-A-S. Thanks for asking. Just finished a 6-wk mass & strength program. Pros: Strength and mass increased. Cons: Sore joints, tendentious in my right elbow, and pulled a pec muscle during the last week. Gained weight due to no cardio activity. This week is strictly cardio. Begin a 12-wk muscle building program on 6/15. How are things with you?
