I train six days a week. I work out twice a day on most days. I am a firm believer in doing a lot of cardio and eating a clean diet. When I work out, I need to feel the burn. If I don't, then it doesn't count. I believe more in muscle conditioning than muscle strength. Sure, it's great to be strong, but what good are your muscles if they aren't in conditioning shape?

I have been a vegan since May 16, 2013 and this type of "diet" works for my body. All foods that I consume are plant-based. I'm not a die-hard vegan, which means that I do consume honey and all root vegetables. When it comes to my vitamins, I do take fish oil and vitamin B-12, which is made from Lactose. Other than that, I eat nothing but plant-based foods. No eggs or any milk products.

Protein Powder and Vitamins
Yes, I do consume protein powder, but it is vegan-based. I mainly purchase pea protein, which is one of the most highly concentrated forms of vegetable protein. I try to avoid soy powder, unless the ingredients come from fermented soy, which is more efficient for your body than the typical mass-produced soy powder that is sold.
I take a good multivitamin along with other essential vitamins that is good for my hair and skin.

I Motivate Myself
When it comes to motivation, I rely on myself. I stay away from negative people and negative energy. If I need that extra motivation, I bring my phone with me to the gym and look at my boyfriend's picture whenever I feel like I can't push any harder. He's one of my biggest cheerleaders in life and he wants to see me take my fitness level as far as possible, as long as I remain healthy. :-)
