When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
I started seriously trying to drop weight in Jan.2009. I hit my heaviest weight ever Dec.2008 259lbs.I was extremely depressed so I knew I had to do something to take control of my body and my life.So far I managed to drop 21 lbs so far with counting calories & cardio. But I want to take this to the next level and become stronger and become the best me that I can be & kick this fat to the curb!
Why I Love It:
I look forward to seeing my muscles respond & the fat disappear as I progress on my quest for improvement.
How I Stay Motivated:
The back & front pictures that I took of myself is enough to get me to the gym once I picture how I look and how I want to look.Trying to improve my overall well being, and my self esteem helps keep me motivated to do what I need to do.
My first Goal weight is to reach 200lbs by October.
2nd goal weight 180 by the end of the yr or by next Feb.2010. Trying to give myself a realistic time line to reach my goals.I want to sculpt my whole body.Currently right now I'm doing the Body For Life Challenge.Started 3-23-09.Wish me luck!Any advice or any one who has taken the Body4life challenge if you have any tips and would like to share,I would appreciate it!Update 5-31-09:It thought I was doing the exercises as advised in the book but thanks to the advice of others on this website, a lot of trial & error & rereading the book! I realized that my official week of doing the program correctly was 4-27-09 so I guess my 12 wk transformation would end around W/E 7-12-09?This is a lifestyle change & it's helping me lay down my foundation for strength training but I'm supposed to see major changes after 12 weeks so we'll see!
Ant inspires me because he was actually one of the 1st profiles that I seen on Body space that motivated me to join the site! Watching his transformation to an athletic beast! It made me realize that If I work hard enough I can sculpt my body as well! I could totally relate to his story and he is just the sweetest person ever!He was kind enough to post videos to answer questions about his weight loss and he responds to questions and he is always encouraging other members!
I am inspired by Just Minxy because she is a great example of how hard work & dedication can get you to your fitness goals! Although she advises that she is not an expert she has the experience to give excellent advice & she is just the sweetest person ever!If you ask her for advice she will respond and she always tries to encourage others! She inspires me to push harder in the gym and reminds me by being living proof that If I work hard enough that I too can reach my fitness goals!
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
I enjoy having a workout partner because we are always competing with each other makes me go a little faster on the elliptical or push harder on the stairmaster to try to out do my partner.Benefits:With a partner if one is slacking you try to push each other.I enjoy having a workout partner because we are always competing with each other makes me go a little faster on the elliptical or push harder on the stairmaster to try to out do my partner.Benefits:Wi...more

If you have a lot of body fat around your midsection and back does doing 100 sit-ups/crunches really even matter?Should ab work be done at all if you have 50 or 70 lbs to lose? The main thing is the cardio & diet to burn the flab off first so that you can see your abs, right?I read a quote...
I see that you have gotten back on track.. I did but fell before I could post anything... so I bought myself an outfit that was too tight & I threw away the receipt to help motivate me to get back to where I need to be.
hey there, i'm just checkin in on you... you still doing great.. I been still for last few weeks, change in my work schedule causing me not to be able to get into the gym... plus my work surroundings changed during that time.. was around ppl that love to eat...so I'm at a stand still
Oh chica I am so very honored! That was so amazingly sweet of you to list me as an inpsiration. What you said is true. A lot of people ask me why I posted pics of me when I was in bad health. because that is REAL and anyone can post just the afters-it takes courage to post your metamorphosis BEAUTIFUL BUTTER FLY! I knew you could rock them hanging lifts. Now watch the magic happen to those abs ;)
I'm so proud of you! never LIMIT yourself. You did amazing and your abs will thank you for it. I'm so inspired by you rockin' it she-beast style and ruling your freakin' temple babe!
thanks for the comment, you are looking great too,I thought I was the only one that had like personal races against others on BB. lol It's almost time for me to post another pic, I was trying to wait until I hit 215
Fuq that chica, who cares what anyone else thinks-YOu GOT THE NERVE!!! You don't have to get them all the way up, as far as you can go, hold and release. Your abs will thank you for it. Shoot for like 5 to start. Its far more effective than getting on that stupid ab ball or the floor. Stretches the back too and will work the lower abs where we carry the poochie pouch! TRY it, hell if you can do 2 you can do 1 more than I could when I started.
Way o go sexy lady! yeah the stairmill and stair stepper both work nearly all the same muscle groups. See I told you changing those legs up will intensify the workout, keep it fun (ok well nto fun exactly) and yes the lines! I'm so proud of you-I can't wait to see new pickies!!!!
Aww thank you so much for that. You made my night. YoOu know the journey I took to get my body like this chica. Wasn't easy, but worth it cause I know my health will be better for it. How are you doing?
