When I Started:
Mar, 2006
How I Started:
When I was younger I was VERY small, and I still am, but during the beginning of summer after my 8th grade year I decided that maybe I should try and put sum muscle on this body so I've been workin out. But I haven't been able to for the last 7 months because of family problems and moving, but now I'm finally starting my schedule again. Plus, I feel more confident knowing I have a nice body, and I'm a basketball player so I gotta stay fit.
Why I Love It:
Well first of all, it gives me a lot of confidence knowing my body looks nice and learn what I need to stay fit. Me and my friends love to go running and lift together so we can have fun at the same time. Plus, my ex-boyfriend is becomin a body builder and even though he never actually said I should workout, he did inspire me and I would have liked to be able to work out with him and be confident about it.
How I Stay Motivated:
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I lift wieghts and hav different wrkouts for each of those days, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I will jog at least a mile, and I do sit-ups and push-ups everyday.
BB Accomplishments:
To get rid of excess body fat, gain a lot of muscle, and find a diet that's right for me. STAY FIT!!!
Be able to do at least 12 reps of a 85 Ibs. bar by basketball season..
Goal (Long):
All of my life I have been wanting a body I could be proud of. I would be looking at the fitness comercials with all those women who have nice, toned stomachs, strong arms and legs and a healthy diet. I always told myself, "when I'm older, I'm going to workout like they do and try to have a longer and healthier life." During my first couple of middle school years I would say that I could stand to be average but I CANT! I have to be a better more activated and healthy person than just average! So the end of my 8th grade year was when I really started to try and be more fit and worked hard on the Track and Field team. So I'm wanting a nice tight stomach, like a 4 pack at least! I want very strong legs and big bisceps. NOT huge like the body builder women, but big enough that people will know I'm a strong and healthy person. I want to be able to show my body and the beach and know it's hot!
I find this member inspirational through her motivation and hard work to reach her goals. She is inspiring me to keep on going and working harder to reach my goals.
I find this member inspirational through his VERY hard work and he really wants to reach his goals. I love the fact that no matter what he always tries to find a way to keep going. :) he has inspired me to work even HARDER to accomplish my goals and to always keep trying.
When I workout, I can't just do it in complete silence, I gotta have my music. However you can't just listen to anything. When I am doing cardio, I listen to fast moving beats that make you just want to move. When I am lifting wieghts, I don't have to be pissed, but I kind of like the results if...
Well doing those things burn calories too, running is an adjustment you will get better. I sucked when I first started running. When I was in hs I started out running 2 miles in 19minutes and when I graduated I was running 2 miles in under 13. Not to mention you don't have very much fat to lose. Hope you had a great weekend! Happy Training :) Amber
Do you have a ball? You can do soo many good exercises on the ball. What about joining some kind of sport at school. I first got into weight training when I ran on the cross country team. The only problem is when I started running I sucked, but I eventually improved with a lot of hard work and dedication.
Thanks for adding me to your inspiration list. I was just going to suggest you take some progress pictures (even if you don't post them on here) they really help to get you motivated that you are making progress! Hope you have a great day in the gym, Happy Training :) Amber
