Overall Goal: I want to break 200 lbs. by December of "09 so that I can be a lean, muscular 185 in the summer of 2010.
Fit Status:
O.K. been back a couple of months now and I'm just about back up to lifting the weights I was in "07. Body weight rising.

When I Started:
Oct, 2004
How I Started:
I was working as a scout on a Special Operations Team for the police department where I used to work. Most of those guys were pretty big and I started working out with them partly for the friendship and partly to get bigger and stronger for my work.
Why I Love It:
I am genetically a small guy and I really have to work hard to be average sized. Lifting gives me something my genetics didn't.
How I Stay Motivated:
I guess that there is a bit of ego in it for all of us. We want to look good. So I watch for any progress. When I see a little more peak on my biceps or another pound on the scale I'm psyched and I want to eat or go to the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
In 07 I gained a lot of weight and was really on my way to some major gains. I was up to nearly 190lbs and got over the 300lb mark on bench.
I want to break 200 lbs. by December of "09 so that I can be a lean, muscular 185 in the summer of 2010.
Goal (Long):
Right now I just want to gain strength and weight(I know, novel idea right). What I mean is that I know I'm not ready to lean out and see the results. I need more mass and am trying to get near or over 200lbs in bulk so that I can be 185 or so lean.
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Denver for six nights last week and was forced to use their gym.
Why is it so hard to dedicate a little space and a one time investment in equipment for these hotel gyms! The gym was your usual combination of a couple elipticals, treadmills and...
I do one major and its supportive minor muscle group on the same day. This way I'm not over-training. I always feel healthy and strong because I don't train any group more than once per week. For example:
Chest/Triceps- (Triceps are worked during chest excercises
so I do them...
I have to admit I haven't been a fan of freeform squats for the reasons you listed in your blog ... doing these w/o a spotter, etc. Generally I like the leg presses where I can go to failure, and still get out of the machine ... on my own :)
 Done that in Rio Indio in Nicaragua, the old gator that is bigger than my Boston Whaler :P yea, lots of fun fishing here. In CR. there are places where it is safe not to touch the water because of the same, like Barra del Colorado. Keep in touch.
Bill, you are the one doing all the heavy lifting and bulking now; Panama is a nice city, from time to time I go with some friends there fishing Pavon in Gatun, now that is something. Keep training heavy and smart.
regarding your blog comment:
Hi, Thanks for the response. I did cardio starting out four days a week to build up my stamina. After a month I increased to five days a week and after two months increased to six days a week which is what I still do today. I have a gym where I work so I do weights usually in the morning and go to my gym after work for cardio and some extra weight work on the machines there.
I had a great weekend! Don't know about you, but we had beautiful weather here. I ate a little more than just protein. But, hey, whatever. It was a holiday. I did manage to get a workout in at home on Monday. Did chest, triceps, and forearms.
Bill! May I call you Billy? Look at how much your posture has improved over the years! Awesome. I enjoy your comment about celebrities; they're mostly poor rolemodels anyway. Enjoyed also your User Title, though eat, lift, eat, rest, repeat might be a bit more appropriate. :) Thanks for your kind words as well! There's a lot of work to me done in this small world and few willing to do it! God bless.
You're a youngster! The 'middle age spread' is a long ways off for you. :-) On a more serious note, racewalking is really quite good for burning the calories and not doing damage to the knees/shins. The reason I took it up is 'cuz my knees won't let me walk. The only down side is that long distances can take a lot longer to achieve than running. Marathons partiuclarly suck! ;-)
you've got some nice arm/shoulder/upperbody size in the newest pics. The gratuitous forearms shot :) ... well, they're a heck of a lot bigger and better than my forearms! LOL :)
I rip off the head of a live squirrel and squeeze it's guts into my mouth! HAHA just kidding. Actually I try to be hungry because that gets your brain and muscles all ready for "hunting" mode. All the blood goes to your muscles and brain and doesn't get sidetracked by your stomach. Also I think about how much I want to impress my girlfriend. }:)
Hope u and michelle and kiddys had a good thanks giving and ate tons of fatty foods... yummy.... youll be happy to know i am now datin a fellow oklahomian lol... miss yall bunches
