Background

When I Started: Feb 1990
HOW I STARTED:

I got started in high school when I was trying to improve in cheerleading for strength and endurance. My brother is also a bodybuilder, which inspired me. He has trained and competed hard for about 15 or more years. I finally have the nerve to start.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love working out to relieve stress. I am also competitive, so I love to reach new goals each week.

I can't believe the Arnold Classic is right around the corner.  I am working with MHP again, and ready to have a great time.  I am hoping to meet up with some old friends, and connect with some new ones.  I am training hard to get the rest of this weight off me.  I am getting closer.  I am running 2 x's a day, 5 days a week and doing cardio 6 days a week.  Only weight training 3-4 times a week.  I am trying to get in about 10 miles a day running.  It is definately hard, but I am managing...

After her second pregnancy, Lisa weighed almost 190 lbs, and she decided enough was enough! So in order to lose weight, she set a date for an upcoming competition and lost 70 lbs.

Well,  I thought long and hard about what competition I was going to aim for next.  I knew I needed some time off to get my metabolism back in check, so I figured this would give me the time I need.  October I will take off from strict dieting but won't get out of control.  Then I will have 16 weeks for prep.  I am excited to have a month off.  I really need to enjoy some family dinners.  I hate going out to eat with tupperware full of cold chicken.  THis time around I am concentrating on leaning out and my midsection.  I haven't came in yet, to my...
