My thoughts on motivation. Anyone who has children, small children that is, will tell you that it's the sweetest thing to watch them help you around the house. I remember when my son (who is now 24) would help me bathe and diaper his little sister. Then as he and she both grew they would help me grocery shop, fold laundry and do other chores around the house. I'm not big on fat burning or artificial energy supplements. I always have it in the back of my mind that I'm going to end up a statistic by using them... Like I'll totally stroke out in the middle of my workout...BUT, today I used a product called Anadrox Pump & Burn. Took it about 30 minutes before my workout and it made such a difference. Anyone who has taken a hiatus from working out in the gym will tell you that it's difficult to get restarted. In my case, it wasn't the thought of going back to lifting again, it was that I would be starting my day around 1:15 am! I always get the same raised eyebrow look when I tell people that's what time I hit the gym. Insanity, right? I used the last three weeks as my re-acclamation period. I'm not one to make excuses but apparently I've fallen off the fitness bandwagon and pretty much saw a decline in health and fitness in just a few short months. Now I will qualify this (I think that's another term for excuse but I'm using it anyway) by saying that I had stopped going to the gym right around September of 2012 when I learned my father was diagnosed with Stomach and Esophageal Cancer.
