I'm a former long distance runner with serious intestinal damage-- to keep myself in shape without over-stressing my body, I do combinations of walking, short jogs, lifting, calistenics, and my FAVORITE, YOGA!!!
Why I Love It:
I work 12-15 hour days most days, and I'm still going as strong at 11 pm as I was at 8 am-- although my body is damaged, bbing makes me feel enabled and confident.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like being in touch with my body... It's a holistic thing for me.
BB Accomplishments:
Lifting comes naturally to me. I guess the greatest thing I can do right now is weighted dips. I'd like to get to where I can do weighted chin ups (overhand grip) and one arm chin ups.

I like functional fitness and a sinewy body. So that's what I work on when I'm in the gym. Part of functional fitness is being rested enough to work out-- so since I work so hard at my job (very physical) I take many days off. So be it. I like to go with the flow.
Description: This song totally gets me pumped up for lifting, cardio, whatever... If you see me beaming like Christmas while on an exercise bike, chances are I'm listening to this. Thought I'd share the inspiration-- you should legally download or buy this song!
Yes. I am kind of emo.

Running (growing towards 50 mpw.) Currently at 4 days on, one day off, with 7 miles on each day. Will work my way up to 7 miles a day, 6 days a week. Then I will throw a long run (11 miler) in there to get to 46 mpw. Then I will add in an extra mile on some days. 50 mpw right there....

Soy protein isn't the best...actually, I think it's pretty much the worst. Up until the past century, soy was used as fertalizer-never meant for consumption in large quantities. Try getting your nutrients from whole food sources that are relatively close to how they looked coming off/out of the ground/animal.
Whats up lionchick...I used to be an assistant Mgr at the Finish Lines in Kennesaw and Cumberland mall. It was my first job out of college. I went to school in Wisconsin but I x-fered down here with the company (98-00).
Hope all is well. Keep up the good work.
Hey LionChick, I've read your article and I think i'm a Water/Earth person. I would need more information to confirm this. And also more tricks and knowledge about those two ! Thank you very much
