I hurt my back in 2001. I was depressed and gained about 50lbs.. When I got promoted to SGT in Jan 05 I decided that I was going to be a good NCO, and I couldn't do that while I was out of shape. I met with my Neurologist and some Physical Therapists, and we worked things out so I could get in the gym and lift, and start running again. Once we worked out the administrative side of things, I got started.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I feel after a work out. I love the pump.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have to compete with Soldiers and NCO's younger than me everyday.. I stay motivated by telling myself that I have to be better than them. My girl keeps on my a$$ about getting in the gym when I feel lazy. Knowing that my girl thinks I'm sexy.
BB Accomplishments:
Losing the 50lbs of unhealty fat. Added 15lbs of muscle
I wanted to get to 175, and I got there, then I wanted to get to 185 and I made that... Now I'm looking at going to 200lbs. Maybe I'll feel good there and stop and maintain.. Who knows..
