Well most importantly, I got into building my body because I grew very tired of being skinny and poor diet habits. I used to work out off an on since high school, but never made huge gains because of lack of knowledge and effort and most importantly discipline. Ive had a skinny build all my life, but it wasn't until I started looking at big actors such as Will Smith, and Jason Statham, transform their bodies to play certain roles, it all of sudden seemed possible to do this. And here I am.
Why I Love It:
I'll be honest, I love the euphoric aftermath of a exhausting workout. You feel like you accomplished something that most people cant or wont do. You feel like your on a path not only to a better physique but better mental health as well. I come out from the gym, I think more clearly, rationalize desicions better, overall I feel like my being has a greater purpose than I had ever realized( thats how good you feel, but tired also :)) I used to dread going into the gym when I started, at times I still do :). But while im there its like a personal conquest, so you either climb the ladder, or catch splinters on the fall down! Giving up is not a debatable option.
How I Stay Motivated:
Well honestly, alot of personal life struggles I mentally take to the gym. With every rep, every set, I feel alot better and thats when the mental aspect starts to feel at ease. I feel in some ways if not many, you start to build more character and mental strength than you had before. The physical, mental and spiritual have to all be connected, I've found that working out regularly, dieting properly, and discipline and focus does this. Seeing results also keeps me going, I've gone over numerous profiles here on bodyspace and each and every single member inspires me! Were all on the same journey and I'm proud to be part of it.

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! "Rocky Balboa"
