When I Started:
Apr, 2005
How I Started:
Picked up a copy of Flex Magazine, and read an article on Jay Cutler.
Why I Love It:
I watched Arnold growing up and saw what he did with all of his knowledge of bodybuilding. Besides being happier with the body I obtain.
How I Stay Motivated:
My deceased wife always loved to work out, I never did because I was a lazy bum. I do it with her pushing me to get a better body; thus, a better disciplined person.
BB Accomplishments:
After being given a broken hip, leg, neck, brain fracture, and year in acoma from a car accident when I weighed a hefty 387#'s, I am now a 241#, 6'5" male with road maps showing!
I want the classic Mr. Olympia look from the old days when the greats (Arnold, Lou Ferrigno, Dave, etc...) were champs; and maybe a little older yet. Yes, those who are true bodybuilders know what I am talking about; THE V-SHAPE!! When you are so wide from shoulder to shoulder, that people have to cross the street because your upper body and legs were so large, with a tiny waist. The back went from a very large width at the top, down to a point at the waist, thus the V shape.
Because of Mikiko being consistently dedicated to this lifestyle, she has inspired me to try and continue with more aggressiveness than before. Thank you!
I would find out what my maintenance calories are including how intense your training sessions are. Once You figure that out I would create my diet to manage me around 500 below including some cardio or excluding cardio that is up to you. I would include some low intensity cardio to help maintain your lean mass gains and burn the fat quicker. Hope that helps.
