My Freshman year of college I walked into the weight room and was amazed at all of the equipment. So I started working out, doing the same thing everyday for 5 days a week until I learned different, which took about 3 months.
I moved from Northern Michigan to Oklahoma in the fall of 1992 (what a change). I didn't lift for 6-8 months because of the move and new job. That was longest that I have been off in the last 30 years.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling, the competition with myself, the way it changes the body and it's a good stress reliever.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look in the mirror, I can always be better.

After Wednesdays experience with the pain in the upper back, side, rib area I took yesterday off and decided to just see what I could accomplish this morning. I woke up early and could still feel the tightness, almost like a knot, just below my left shoulder blade. I took my time warming up...
They're still in some pain...mostly my shoulder but I got some glucosamine/msm supplements and I also upped the healthy fat in my diet also...I'm hoping that it'll all help soon
Thanks for the bricks suggestion. I was going to start with a plate or DB in each hand and see how far I can carry them. I thought of water-filled buckets, like feeding the pigs slop on grandpa's farm when I was a kid. The body fat measurement told me enough.
thanks for the wonderful verse. it is very interesting as people call me sunshine all the time, it just kind of comes out of them. haha it amazes me because most of them dont know me they just call me that. :)
