Background

When I Started: Sep 2007
HOW I STARTED:

The wife challenged me and I used to workout in my teens, so its always been in me. However there was no internet then and my workouts had no structure. I know sooo much more now. Time to put that knowledge to use.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I like the feel of the pump...its addicting.

I feel so strongly about this quintet from Vancouver that I encourage everyone to check this video out. It absoulutely has been haunting me for the last 24 hours.

1 month later.

Nice light workout to ease back into things today.  Left bicep felt kind of iffy at times....almost like the rubber band was going to snap.  Right bicep more just hurts in the crook of the arm and forearm.  Anyways I woke them up a bit today and feel the need to get back into the rhythem of things again.  Physically, mentally, and spiritually.  My left knee is hopeless and still isnt ready for anything leg orientated.  I really wish on that bodybuilding star to get my left knee back to normal again. ...

Forced into taking time off

Posted in Training  :  Dec 28, 2010 5:16pm
I am injured....not just nagging little injuries (there are lots of those) but I have severely sprained my left bicep tendon(s).  It was work related and not because of weights.  I tweaked it good one day at work and decided to take some time off....now, 10 days later, I have reinjured it at work. So much so that its worse than the original injury.  So, I will watch my calories a little more than usual, and I will do what I can with legs and cardio.  Never liked any cardio and my knee still isnt healed from nagging injury across knee cap there.&A...

bradl Thanks. It would be different if it was a lifting injury, but I probably don't lift enough to do that. Yeah, it will be a while before I'm back to where I was prior to this (Jan). Are you still gaining like you want? Apr 5, 2011 2:39pm

Bulkathos72
Bulkathos72 Haha I never did find it. I thought I left it by my weights. I ordered one of the nicer measuring tapes from the website. They have some really good stuff here better then anything you could find in a Walmart. Apr 21, 2010 6:31pm

bradl Ahhh, so you situation is like mine, though my right knee is the problem. I did squats yesterday. Knee pain today. If I could go as heavy as you, then I would probably have more serious issues, like couldn't squat. Apr 13, 2010 2:20pm

bradl How is your back doing on your program without squats? Apr 13, 2010 8:19am
Bulkathos72
Bulkathos72 Ya there is a big mental barrier when it comes to fitness for some people. For me what helped was kind of holding myself to a higher standard then what people expected from me. People expected me to be fat and lazy and I wanted to prove them wrong. I'm sure you had your own motivation techniques. Apr 9, 2010 6:07pm
Bulkathos72
Bulkathos72 I didn't know that. When did you officially start working on your fitness goals? Apr 9, 2010 5:56pm
