How I Started:
Always been an athlete since highschool. I played basketball, volleyball, ran cross country and competed in power
lifting competitions. Stayed pretty active even after highschool but struggled with my weight since I'm a big girl. Saw a fitness competition on ESPN back in 1997 and from then on had the bug to train and compete. Did two local shows here in the islands, one on Maui, the other here on the big island and didn't place very well. I always struggle with the diet. Took a long lay off for about six years and got heavy, and then got a wake up call in 2006 one night when half my face and body off to my left side when numb while I was in bed sleeping, I also heard a voice say "make a choice". So on November 21, 2006 I made up my mind to train again, this time to challenge myself to see how far I could go either body building wise or strength wise. I also made a conscious choice to live.
Why I Love It:
For me, it's a way of life, my church, my sanctuary, my home. Nothing compares to the high I get lifting big weights like the guys, what's even better is when I out lift them or my body measurements come in bigger than theirs. I guess I'm competitive.
How I Stay Motivated:
The more weight I can lift, the harder I train. The more my body develops and changes the more focused and hungry I become. Goal setting is also what motivates me, once I hit a certain goal, I set another one. You'll never know what you can accomplish until you try

Goal (Long):
To get even stronger, getting stronger produces bigger muscles. Wanna crack three (3) plates on each side this winter for bench press. That'll be 315 thank you!!
Had my carb night tonight, then moved some tremendous weight with the lats and traps...I'm doing fantastic!! Love me some muscle burn...Big stuff on tap for the weekend?
