My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program
I lift weights 3 days a week and do cardio 4-5 days a week.
I lift heavy for my upper and lower body. For cardio I do interval running, spinning, Body Combat, Body Step, take long walks, plus I teach Zumba classes 3 times a week.
My Nutrition Program View My Full Nutrition Program
Low carb, high protein, high fat intake OR moderate carb, high protein, high fat. It depends on if I'm on or off season.
My diet is very close to the LCHF diet. But I'm not a fan of cutting carbs too much. I don't like the feeling of not having any energy. When shedding fat for a contest I can eat between 85-130 g of carbs depending on how active I am. Off season I eat around 150-200 g of carbs per day. I find that if I go over 200 g I tend to bloat.
I eat every 3 hours making sure I eat a good source of protein at every meal.

Less is more. I don't take a lot of supplements and prefer to eat real food to fuel my body.
I like my body to do what it needs to do naturally. I only use supplements to give my body what it isn't getting enough of. I don't take fat burners, pre workout energy enhancers like caffine or anything of the sort to speed up my progress or enhance my workouts.
The three supplements I do take are:
Whey protein powder (without any artificial sweetners)
L-Glutamine
A daily multivitamin
Extra vitamin C as needed

I love achieving goals!
I'm a goal-oriented person. When I set a goal I keep myself focused on that goal work towards it until I achieve it. One of my goals is to continue competing in contests and come home with a 1st place trophy. Heck, why not several?
I also love doing things that most people see as impossible or unattainable. Because to me, there is NOTHING you can't do if you really want it bad enough. As soon as somone tells me, "You'll never be able to...", something inside me snaps and I have to achieve that very thing. And I always do! And yes, I enjoy the look on their faces when I've done it! :)
