I wouldn't say it's weird, no. If you train for size, you will get size. If you train for strength, you will get strength.
No one ever trained for a marathon by sprinting 400 meters...
If you're doing 8x3, 10x3, etc., you're going to have more size than strength.
Also, I have lower body fat and my arms are hence smaller.
I have never taken anything aside from creatine and protein powders.
You're aware that strength doesn't correspond to size, correct? Bodybuilders train higher reps with lower weight and get more size, and powerlifters train lower reps with more weight and more sets.
For benching, I never go above five reps... I do five sets of five with 185 pounds, and this week I"ll be doing 5x5 with 190.
No, those are my GOALS.
I am benching 235 once, squatting 225 for 6-8 reps, and deadlifting 275 for five reps.
My goals, as listed in my signature, are 300/425 bench/squat.
Hi friend. I was just wondering if you were intending to post some new pics in the near future. I have uploaded a few recently and so would be interested to know if you were likely to post some news pics as well.
Merci pour la demande. Ca me fait plaisir. AV pic showing some very decent definition to traps, delts, chest and arms. Can see why motivation has gone up. Keep us updated. Andre
5g of creatine is all you need a day but there is no reason to be afraid of it at that dose just make sure you are drinking enough water. Also take all 5g right after your workout. No need to split the dose and take some before. I would always recommend the 8-12 rep range over 5 reps from a bodybuilding standpoint. But consistency is the most important thing. Keep at it and you will see results soon enough.
I'd have to say time definitely. I have worked out very consistently for the last 10 years. I took about 6 months off during college because I'm stupid and kinda lost the motivation to do it but I learned from that mistake. My training is very basic and low volume. I usually never do more than 14 sets per body part and always use heavy weight with a 8-12 rep range. Supplements have been pretty basic too. Whey, creatine, multi-vitamin, BCAAs, and an NO product.
My preference is creatine ethyl-ester because your body doesnt require sugar to absorb it. No form as creatine is toxic as long as you don't suffer from some type of kidney disease. Realistically I think you can take all the creatine your gut can handle.
