Has been known as the big kid for the most part of my life. I couldn't help that my father and grandfather had a wide frame and it was passed down to me. During Jurior high school and High school was always into some kind of sport...whether it was football or basketball...I was there. It was til I got into college my frat brother/roommate introduced me to weightlifting. He showed me most of the ropes but wasnt really consistent with a routine. After College, thing weren't going right and I began to slump in a depressive mood. I let myself go. I went from a defined 185 to a blob 250. Wasn't til I saw my younger brother work out in the gym, I knew it was time to get things back in gear.
Why I Love It:
The ability to push your body to it truest potential or damn near close to it. I love the feeling that I lift heavy…so that I have strength and the muscle is growing.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at my younger brother lol. He's was an All-American track runner and pretty much has the physique and weight that I want to be at. Also...and I know this might sound a little corny...but Will Smith in IRobot. I mean Will was huge but not too huge. He was cut up but not ripped. He had the look that I strive for...that "damn he looks like he monster!!! Does he compete?" reaction when people see me.
Just want to be healthy...and I think thats what everyone ever wants in life. After having a trail and error effect...you know where you go to the gym and not know what the heck you doing. I finally found out the problem...I wasn't taking the right supplements and sticking to the right diet. It's the only way that going to make my journey move on long smoothly. I want to make it to 180 or 175...the right weight for my height. And I dont want to be 180 or 175 skinny...no no no...none of that...I want be a monster!!!!
Well, this is a better start then any right. I’m not one for writing blogs that much…but a friend of mine said that it’s a good way of staying motivated for the goal that you want to reach. Last weekend, I hung out with a few of my friends from college (who I talk to on a...
Just wanted to say congrats and good luck on your transformation. If you ever need someone to talk to or just someone to keep you motivated let me know I got your back. Take care and again gook luck on all your goals. Lou
