I started going to the gym regularly when I was in college, doing basic weight lifting, having NO idea what I was doing, and cardio. I started my first job out of college and my boss was training and bodybuilding. He referred me to his nutritionist and I started seeing him to get a program and diet. I followed it for a few months and I did not really care for the diet. I started seeing a new trainer who referred me to my current trainer and nutritionist. He started my diet in Feb and took me on as a client in July. He brought up the idea of competing and it just went on from there.
Why I Love It:
It is my favorite time of the day. It is all my own and no one can take it from me. I can relieve stress, clear my mind, focus on improving myself, both mentally and physically and the feeling I get when it is all over is worth it!
How I Stay Motivated:
My trainer keeps me on track and is extremely motivating. I could not have done it without him. Also, the feeling of overcoming such an obstacle to do something you never in a million years you thought you could do is incredible, addictive actually.
