guest Hi LJ57!! I.m spanish, so sorry cause i speak a little english... I had checked ur ovt and i think its great!i have one question to you. I would like to know how many weight i should pick for the exercises. For example for chest: bench press superset with dbflyes, all 5 reps. The same weight every set going to failure in the last one is good? Should i go to failure in both exercises? (Basic and isolation exercises). Please, ankswer me!!! Thx for all and for your nice workout program too!!! Nov 22, 2011 7:03pm

guest I have a quick question regarding your GVT article. Towards the end of the 10x5 supersets is failure supposed to be reached in both exercises or only the second exersise of the superset? Dec 8, 2009 7:19pm

guest and are you supposed to rest on days 5,6, and 7? Jun 22, 2009 6:46pm

guest i read your article about OVT, and i was wondering how much weight you are supposed to use for your sets? like bench press for example. Are you supposed to take just 60% of your max? because that is not difficult at all only 5 times Jun 22, 2009 6:41pm
LeVieux
LeVieux I just read your article on OVT. Once I calculate the max 1 rep & start the first set with 60% do I keep that or increase it for the following sets and at what increase/set? May 31, 2009 8:00am
dwhiteley333
dwhiteley333 hey, I'm a powerlifter that's hit a bit of a plateau while me and my partner were training. We checked for something to switch things up a bit and found your GVT article. As someone who's been lifting for 3 years I think it's phenominal. Mind if I reference you to the workout on my profile? Apr 22, 2008 4:44pm
musclerussell
musclerussell Hey man, I started German Volume Training this morning and I based it on your article. I'm going to keep at it the next 4 weeks...I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks, Dave Oct 2, 2007 10:15am

heyzeus909
heyzeus909 Yeah, I'm starting to think that the folding chairs is the way to go. They can be a little wobbly, and you may have to put some padding where your hands go, but that still may be the best way to go. May 17, 2007 12:54pm
heyzeus909
heyzeus909 Looks a little wide to me. But how does it work? I've thought about using something like that before, but using a lat tower. It was too wide though. May 15, 2007 11:42pm
Hack Squat
Hack Squat Yeah getting rid of the fat is probably the hardest part. I was lucky with my metabolism in that regard but I eat clean as hell when I'm trying to drop the fat. Damn near no bad food for weeks at a time. It's tough. Not a very social thing to do either lol. May 15, 2007 8:30pm
Hack Squat
Hack Squat That's all I do them is once a week. The core gets a lot of work with things like front squats and stuff on other days. I kept a log book and every week would try and get more reps on those crunches. Eventually, I worked my way up to 35 reps with 35 Lbs. of weight on my chest. Did it while I was bulking and yeah they did grow that way, at least for me. May 14, 2007 10:43pm
heyzeus909
heyzeus909 I bought some cheap plastic ones. I think that building your own may be a better idea though. Either way, it's cool because you can adjust the width of them easily, and you can spot yourself with your legs since you're so close to the floor. Chairs can work too. May 8, 2007 4:18pm
Hack Squat
Hack Squat Thanks bro, a ton of hard work and crunching with 25-35 Lbs. of weight on my chest. Fun fun fun. May 7, 2007 11:30pm
