Overall Goal: Oh, boy. Earlier this year, I lost 26lbs...and over several weeks and months, motivation waned and I've gained 6lbs back. Trying to get back on it!

When I Started:
Feb, 2009
How I Started:
First started in middle school, but learned the most in high school when I played football. Incidentally, the time when I was in the best shape of my life. Have been off-and-on with the fitness lifestyle since then (mostly off, unfortunately).
Why I Love It:
As much as I complain about it sometimes, I actually like feeling some soreness the day or two after a workout - it is evidence that I got something good done. And I also prefer to be in shape than out.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm motivated now, but consistent motivation is really the key and that's something that I'm still working on. I do like reading fitness magazines (I get Men's Health) and websites (bodybuilding.com is a new discovery and fantastic!) as I draw inspiration from those already living the fitness lifestyle.
BB Accomplishments:
Hopefully, in a few months, I'll be listing my body transformation as my major bodybuilding accomplishment!

Oh, boy. Earlier this year, I lost 26lbs...and over several weeks and months, motivation waned and I've gained 6lbs back. Trying to get back on it!
Goal (Long):
Have now completed a body transformation and got great results - went from 231 lbs to 205 lbs! I was wearing a 42 inch waist on Feb 23, 2009 and got down to 36 inch waist by May 18.
Unfortunately, I backslid a bit and as of Aug 5, I'm back up to 212lbs and my waist size is back up. So, I need to get back on it!
First, I want to get back down to 36 in waist. Second, I want to get down to 195 lbs (17 lbs loss). Third, I want to get down to 18% body fat (I'm at around 24% right now, Aug 5).
I need to track my diet better and get my cardio and weights in consistently. Pretty simple formula - hard to implement. Stay with me, though - we'll get it done!
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
Part of the purpose of taking up the bodybuilding and fitness lifestyle is to make sure that I can keep up with my daughter and be around for a long time, as well as set a good example.

What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
On off days and most workout days, I get 1900 - 2000 cals, which is broken down as follows: 20% fat, 40% carbs and 40% protein. On leg days, I take in 2400 - 2500 cals, same proportions.
I really LIKE doing the heavy weights with lower reps. Just hit the gym, bang it out, and go on with your day.
I did chest, back and abs yesterday and it was great. I did modified supersets (two exercises, back-to-back with no rest in between) and even with 90 second rest periods, I...
