My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program

My Workout Program

I try to get in a much cardio as possible in the morning along with basic ab exercises. My exercises and rotation of the exercises have changed weekly for the past 2 years. I have never become bored with my workouts and every week I push myself even harder. Every 6 to 7 weeks I will deload. Every 3 months I will take an entire week off of all exercise. A lot of people don't think that my routine is the best combination but for myself and my lifting partner we have never seen better results in any other routines we have done as of yet.

High protein, high fiber, lower fat.

I stick around 2000 to 2500 calories.  Most of my calories come from protein.  Turkey, chicken and fish mostly.  Usually whole grain breakfast (oatmeal or ham sandwich) greek yogurt.  I love unsweetened flax seed almond butter or peanut butter.  Most of my fats come from nuts or fish.  Large salads are a big part of my diet (I'm very selective on what goes in and on my salad).  Love all veggies.  I try to mix it up and come up with creative ways to prepare my food so I dont get burned out on it.  I pack my lunch everyday and on Sundays I prepare my main entrees for the week.  Bananas are my big weakness.  I try to limit my fruit to a few pieces a day.  I eat at least a cup to two cups of cottage cheese daily also.  Usually have a protein drink before bed.

Mental motivation is what I need to keep me going.

My motivation is mostly mental.  Looking at old photos of myself. I will never turn back to that lifestyle again.  The fact that I feel as if I can do anything.  I used to be so scared to do anything because in my mind I would fail.  NO LONGER WILL I FAIL!!!

LAMATINA Just finished a nice 4 mile hike. I decided to add a little extra cardio every 1/2 mile. Felt great even thought it is my rest day.

LAMATINA One of my lifting partners took a few weeks off to rest and now says he is done. He said he couldn't take the sore anymore. I don't get it.
