So I almost called today's workout off. I was just tired. I started off with calves and fell asleep at the machine. Almost said screw it but I pressed on. I'd been recovering from a back pull or strain, not sure which but I'm just glad it's not a disc issue. I thought it was because I did it doing deadlifts. Anyway, thought I'd be weak today since last week I was very strong on bench. 275 felt heavy but 315 didn't. Pumped out 10 easy reps. I was surprised. Even more surprised to get 9 reps of... From April 16, 2013 The night before, I wanted to do shoulder work but fell asleep when I got home for about an hour. Tried to force the workout but I've been really tired lately and sluggish. Did some standing overhead presses but I was done after that. Decided to cut it because I couldn't shake the drowsiness. The next night I got home and almost fell asleep again. My logging of workouts have really been lacking lately... Yesterday had a great deadlift workout. Finally hit the 585 x 5. Next goal will be 615 x 5. Yay. Haven't really cared much for doing 1-rep max lifts. Don't really see the point. Every now and then maybe but it's a rare thing for me. Ever since hitting 495lb on the bench I haven't had the urge to go past 455lbs. It's whatever. Repping 5+ always get me excited.
